Engine light on, code p0704 what does it mean

The check engine light is an early warning system to protect your engine from malfunction. There are several sensors within your engine that trigger this light. If you have your owners manual there will be a section in it that tell you what to check. The basics are ;engine oil levelcoolant levelblocked air filterbut the list can go on so look at the manual.

I have a 2000 Chevy

Sounds like you have lost a shaft(sungear) in the transmission. It can be repaired, but you can get a used one for less than half the cost. Repair-$1300.00+, used - around $500.00

It is doing this because the transponder chip has not been synced with your vehicle. The car believes it is being stolen that is why it is shutting off. See how to Program A Transponder Key here. After programming your transponder chip the vehicle should stay started.

2004 chevy blazer

The light staying on while driving is due to one of the door jamb switches is malfunctioned and more than likely going to be the driver door. For the reason being is that's the door that's mostly used than any other on the vehicle. If memory serves me correctly, the switch is located on the inside the door at the lock actuator. As for the reason you door locks situation, there are many reasons for that. I hope this helps you with your light problem. Jesus loves you, John 3:16-17 (KJV)

So unfortunately you are unable to program a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu key fob without special equipment. This forces you to go to a professional to have it done. I recommend using a locksmith before the dealer, they are usually a bit more affordable and they come to you.
