My dash lights don't work.

this got easy after a while 2 ways, i had friends who would not take the time to spend 8dollars to buy a harness connector for a new cd player and would splice everything together like takeing the red and yellow wires and connecting them all together as one. this drains ur battery unless ur cd player can completly power down by the power button not all do... but keep this in mind on GM cars the 2 wires of the same wires like purple the one with a black stripe is ground they go together stripe on stripe also there is 2 extra wires one is ORANGE and BROWN u dont need these dont even mess with them even if u have a connector block them off THESE TWO COLORS IS FOR FACTORY STEREO IF SO THESE WIRES CAN AND WILL MAKE IT SO U DONT HAVE DASH LIGHTS so always buy a connector ond dont mess with these wires block them off and dont ground them out.

Ignition key in my 2005 Chev Blazer 4x4 will not turn to the off position making it impossible to get the key out, thus the battery drains down.

your going to have to readjust your ignition switch which is mounted on your steering column below the dash. there will be a rod that goes up inside it.

My 2003 Chevy Blazer 4x4 lost fuel power while I

When you turn ignition key from OFF to RUN (engine not running), you should hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds and then shut off.

Best to check fuel pressure to be certain.

Truck will not shift into second gear

I would agree with that assumption. your vehicle starts in 1st automatically. the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) tells the ECM how fast your vehicle is travelling and initiates the shift patterns at certain speeds and rpm's.

Chevy Blazer 2004 V-6. When car is cold, fuel scheduling is off. Car bucks, pops back thru air filter and hesitates. It clears up in three minutes. Cleaned MAF sensor. Car runs fine rest of the day

check and test the crankshaft position sensor and also the camshaft position sensor. Have a local autoparts store scan the dtc or diagnostic troubleshooting codes. this will you give yo a better idea of whats causing the issue. Also clear all dtc's and drive vehicle until check engine light comes back on. recheck codes. but i will almost bet the bank its going to be one of those sensors. also oil leaks will do a number on the wiring connectors. possibly a simple cleaning of the wiring connectors will solve the issue too

My 1998 blazer wont stay in 2 hi it sound like it is whining roaring really loud

this is because its not fully shifting back into 2 Hi. make sure vehicle is in neutral and idling, push the 4 Low button listen for a shifting sound or whirring noise. then push 2 Hi button. it flashes while it is attempting to shift you should hear a shifting clunk or whirring noise, then the light will stay lit. after shifting from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive shift into reverse before selecting drive on the column. the rpm going so high is because your vehicle is still in 4 wheel drive. the low gearing results in high rpm. if it does not shift into 2 wheel drive : there is a shift actuator on the transfer case, check the cable connected to it. this cable is connected to the vacuum control pump deal that controls you cruise control. this pump is located directly under the battery box. the plate the battery sits on must be removed in order to see it. check any wiring there and check for vacuum leaks in the lines connected to it . this pump actually pulls on the cable going to the shift actuator. check that the cable is attached and the baffle on the pump is moving. you can manually pull the cable by hand, while having an assistant operate the buttons inside the cab. this will release the actuator in the transfer case allowing the transfer case to shift properly. basically its a locking mechanism, locking the transfer case in the selected gear range. it must actuate in order to complete the shift

How to reset security code in 2001 chevy blazer

The security, antitheft or lock picture/icon is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. This link explains it pretty well. http://www.diy-gm-security.com/ http://newrockies.com/

What is the torque on a 92 blazer body bushing bolts

There is no replaceable fog lamp relay. It's built into the digital instrument panel junction box (IP) and switches power using an intelligent power switch (power transistor) that's soldered to the board. When you turn on fog lamps the body control module sees the signal from the fog lamp switch. It sends a digital signal to the IP which tells the IPS to power the fog lights. You need to use a pro scan tool to see if the Body control module is receiving the fog lamp request and then see the IP is receiving the command to switch on fog lamps.

My airbag light blinks 7

{: ) If the airbag light goes off after that 7 blinks (some are 6 or 8), that will be normal. The airbag module will blink the airbag warning light on the cluster while performing self-test during initial start-ups. After the self-test and the airbag module did not detect any fault within the airbag system, it will turn the warning light off. If the airbag warning light continuously blink or stayed lit after the expected elapse time, then there is really a concern and you need to double check the airbag system with a scan tool.

2004 Chevy Blazer dash lights don't come on

If the rest of your lights are OK, there may be a dead spot on the dash dimmer control (near the headlight switch). Cycle the control a few times to see if that fixes it. Otherwise, check the fuses at the left end of the dash.

Removal of headrest 96 cheve blazer

If one of the mounts for the headrest has a push button you push to adjust it up or down, then the other mount will have a pinhole on the inner side. It is big enough to insert a small Allen wrench. Push it inwards to release that latch and work the headrest upwards, pressing both latches as you go.
