I would try and unplug the TV and all of the attachments that are connected to your TV and wait for a few minutes to plug everything back in again and see if that fixes the problem. It could be an issue with your TV's mainboard or a power supply issue.
last man on earth on tape?
buy 2 machines used and now have parts( NO OTHER WAY!!!)
there is no books AT SONY or support now. it ended long ago\ 1987 ,35 long years ago/.
the free shop manual is here, 155pages
This problem is often caused by the tape bunching up underneath the flap. Press down on the small release button on the side of the VCR machine and then lift up on the flap.
I would read the part number on the STR and using the gargler (google) get the data on it.
The service manual is the chassis number/type not the model number.
It doesn't look like this remote was intended to control more than the TV On/Off , Input and Volume. The remote code list for the Sony RMT-B107A will be included in the manual for the Blu-ray player that the remote came with. According to https://www.remotecontrols.com/product/RMT-B107A.html , this remote was included with the Sony BDP-BX37, among others. The support page for this player is https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/product/bdp-bx37/manuals . The current link to the manual is https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/4169/41691391M.pdf . See page 36 for the TV code list. See pages 9-10 for the button functions for the remote.
Vizio is not listed in the code list. However, Vizio uses a number of OEMs to build their TVs. Those OEMs may use the same remote control hardware as other brands of TVs. Since the copyright date for this manual is 2010, the remote is unlikely to be fully compatible with TVs built after 2009. (Most universal remotes are trained with codes for devices released 6 months or more before the remote is programmed.)
I wish that I had better news for you. Please add a comment with the model of your Blu-ray player if you want me to find that specific manual.

Hi...It sounds like the panel was damaged when it was removed or replaced, I don't think this is a timing board issue. I've had this happen as well in our shop, no real reason for it, on a few sets like this I located the issue to a COF but unfortunately that's not something we can replace as I don't have a million dollar machine to do it
