Just bought a used Pride Victory 9 and we were trying to take it apart. The seat will not come off. The seat rotation lever came off and is not attached to the seat now.

A bit of repair work is required now as the seat will not lift off without firstly lifting the lever.

I have a pride victory 9. And I need to know how to remove and replace the speed pot.

Re-check you have removed all of the screws as they sometimes have a extra ones positioned in a hidden and difficult places to get at or you need to remove another trim piece to release the panel you want to take off, possibly the knee panels on the tiller bar. The pot and key barrel will be mounted to the trim panel directly so won't be holding the trim down. The trim panel itself may be held in place with moulded clips so you may need to GENTLY lever along the seam between the panels to 'Pop' the panel loose. Most scooters of that type have a speed pot that is held in place with a small nut. The plastic 'button' you twist to alter the speed setting is a 'push on' cover. It will be a tight fit but it should simply pull straight up and off revealing the small nut holding the pot in place.

Pride mobility scooter re: what is limiting the 24 volt motors speed?

There is a YouTube video of a guy who got one to do 70 mph! Basically, you just need the battery, a potentiometer and the motors. I reckon a floor mounted sewing machine foot pedal would work! People have already worked out how to do it. https://www.google.com/search?q=pride+mobility+scooter+speed+limiter+removal Thanks for the kind comments :>D ..

I have a Pride Gogo Traveller 4 scooter. When I start it or stop it, it jerks. The scooter is only 15 months old and only used a dozen times.

Unfortunately, NOT using them is worse than using them all the time. Using it, might free it up. Find a big empty car park and do Start - Stop - Start, flat out runs for 30 minutes. This is a common problem often caused by the potentiometer (pot) in the centre of the Wigwag (Accelerator.) This part takes a lot of "abuse" and the pot causes an intermittent electrical connection resulting in a very jerky ride. Try spraying a contact cleaner spray in the pot but most often the potentiometer will need to be replaced by a technician. https://www.pridemobility.com/go-go-travel-mobility/go-go-elite-traveller-4-wheel/

My mobility scooter front wheels now jerks to the right when on flat surface after having new tyres put on.

The kids in the shop were probably racing it. Just take it back. Makes sure both batteries are charged and the terminals are clean and tight.

I have a Pride Legend 4 wheel Gopher. I have a rubbing noise in motor somewhere. I have checked it out and found nothing.

Question edited for clarity and punctuation. Question moved from Cars and Trucks to Pride Legend. If it is inside the motor is is likely to be bearings. You would need to remove the motor, test it out of the scooter and see if it still make the noise. If it does, then it need a full disassembly to find out what is worn? My view is that is more likely to be the brake rubbing, or a stick/leaf stuck behind the wheel.

This isn't a normal sound. The scooter whistles loudly and constantly as I go along and it is loud enough to bring people out of their houses. This should not be.

Take it in for service. It sounds like it has been modified or something is stuck in the motor fans. We are Fixya, we aren't the maker of your unstated make and model scooter. I moved the question for one of our mobility scooter Categories, purely as a guess!

What is my new battery terminal sparking when I try to connect the last cable?

This sounds like it is trying to "Short Out". Turn off all the power to the chair and re-check your battery connections. A "Short" is where the electricity is trying to flow the Wrong way around the circuit. This will badly Damage you batteries if you keep trying to connect them. When connecting batteries together you ALWAYS connect a Positive (+) to a Negative (-). NEVER Positive to Positive or Negative to Negative. Start at the Negative wire, connect it to the Negative terminal on the first battery, (Battery One). Then on Battery One connect the Positive terminal to the Negative terminal on Battery Two. You now connect the chair's Positive cable to the Positive terminal on Battery Two. You should get NO sparks. Carefully turn on the chair's power. The batteries should NOT spark and should NOT get hot quickly. **CAUTION** If it does spark or get hot quickly after you have done this TURN EVERYTHING OFF and disconnect the negative cable. This means there is a problem somewhere else in the chairs electrics.
