How to wire up PIONEER GM 2000

The Pioneer GM-2000 is a two-channel amplifier that is designed to boost the sound output of your car's audio system. Here are the steps to wire up the Pioneer GM-2000:
  1. Disconnect the negative terminal of your car battery to prevent any electrical short-circuit.
  2. Locate a suitable location to mount the amplifier in your vehicle. Ensure that the amplifier is mounted securely and won't interfere with any moving parts in your car.
  3. Run the power cable from the battery to the amplifier location. The power cable should be of sufficient gauge to handle the current draw of the amplifier. Consult the amplifier manual for the recommended gauge of wire.
  4. Connect the power cable to the positive terminal of the amplifier and secure it in place.
  5. Connect the ground wire to a metal surface near the amplifier location. Ensure that the surface is clean and free of rust or paint, and that the wire is securely attached.
  6. Connect the remote wire to the amplifier's remote input. This wire provides a signal to turn the amplifier on and off when the head unit is turned on and off.
  7. Connect the speaker wires to the amplifier's speaker output terminals. Ensure that the positive and negative wires are connected to the correct terminals.
  8. Connect the RCA cables from the head unit to the amplifier's RCA input jacks. These cables transmit the audio signal from the head unit to the amplifier.
  9. Turn the amplifier on and test the audio output from your speakers. Adjust the gain and other settings as necessary to achieve the desired sound quality.
Remember to consult the amplifier manual for the recommended wiring instructions and to ensure that you follow proper safety precautions when handling electrical components. If you are not confident in your abilities, it is recommended to seek professional installation.

My 12 pro is paired to my Pioneer AVH2800bs but there's no audio from the phone. Pandora works fine, just no audio out of my phone

If you are experiencing no audio output from your iPhone 12 Pro when paired with your Pioneer AVH2800bs, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the volume levels on both your phone and your car stereo. Ensure that the volume on your phone is turned up and that the volume on your car stereo is not muted or turned down too low.
  2. Check your phone's audio output settings. Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics and make sure that "Change with Buttons" is turned on. This will allow you to adjust the volume on your phone using the physical buttons on the side.
  3. Try disconnecting and reconnecting your phone to the car stereo. Sometimes a simple disconnect and reconnect can fix the issue.
  4. Check if your car stereo has any firmware updates available. Visit the Pioneer website and search for your specific model to see if any updates are available.
  5. Try using a different audio cable to connect your phone to the car stereo. The cable may be faulty or damaged.
If none of these steps work, you may want to try resetting your phone's network settings or resetting your car stereo to its factory settings.

Pioneer PL 640 variation speed? Fix?

If your Pioneer PL 640 turntable is experiencing variations in speed, there are a few potential causes to consider. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and fix the issue: Check the belt: The belt on the turntable may have become stretched or worn, which can cause variations in speed. Inspect the belt for any signs of damage or wear, and replace it if necessary. Check the platter: The platter may be dirty or have accumulated debris, which can cause it to spin unevenly. Remove the platter and clean it thoroughly, and make sure it is seated correctly on the spindle. Check the motor: The motor may be malfunctioning or dirty, which can cause variations in speed. Remove the motor and clean it, and check it for any signs of damage or wear. If necessary, replace the motor. Check the pitch control: The pitch control on the turntable may be dirty or malfunctioning, which can cause variations in speed. Clean the pitch control and make sure it is working correctly. Check the power supply: The power supply may be providing insufficient power to the turntable, which can cause variations in speed. My pioneer sw-8 subwoofer will not power on

If your Pioneer SW-8 subwoofer is not powering on, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the power cord: Make sure that the power cord is securely plugged into both the subwoofer and a working electrical outlet. If the power cord is loose, try unplugging it and plugging it back in.
  2. Check the power switch: Make sure that the power switch on the back of the subwoofer is turned on.
  3. Check the circuit breaker: The subwoofer may have a circuit breaker that has tripped. Check the circuit breaker on the back of the subwoofer to see if it has tripped. If it has, reset it by pushing the button back in.
  4. Check the fuse: The subwoofer may have a blown fuse. Check the fuse on the back of the subwoofer to see if it has blown. If it has, replace it with a fuse of the same rating.
  5. Check the auto power function: The subwoofer may have an auto power function that turns it off after a certain amount of time if there is no audio signal. Make sure that the audio source is playing and sending a signal to the subwoofer.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be a problem with the amplifier or power supply in the subwoofer.

I have a Pioneer SX1900 Receiver that I believe I blew the fuse.

It's possible that the fuse has blown, which can happen if there is a power surge or if there is a problem with the wiring or connections. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the fuse: The first thing to check is the fuse. Make sure the receiver is unplugged from the power outlet, then locate the fuse on the back of the unit. Check to see if the fuse is blown, which can be indicated by a darkened or broken wire. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one of the same amperage rating.
  2. Check the connections: Make sure all the connections to the receiver are secure and not loose or damaged. Check the speaker wires, power cord, and any other cables that are connected to the unit.
  3. Disconnect other equipment: If you connected the Pioneer receiver to another receiver and a speaker system, try disconnecting all the equipment and connecting only the Pioneer receiver to a power outlet. If it powers on, you may need to troubleshoot the other equipment to determine if it is causing an issue.
  4. Check the power outlet: Make sure the power outlet that the receiver is connected to is functioning properly. Try plugging in another device to the outlet to see if it works.

  3. Try a factory reset: If the above steps don't work, you can try a factory reset. This will erase all of your settings and return the TV to its original state. Check the manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
  4. Contact the manufacturer: If the issue persists, it may be a hardware problem and you may need to contact the manufacturer for a repair or replacement.
Note: Make sure that you have a warranty for the TV or if it's an old one, then it may not be cost-effective to get it repaired.

Pioneer Model: DEH-P8400BH, USB port goes inactive

It's possible that the head unit's USB port or the wireless phone charger is no longer functioning properly. You can try the following to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Disconnect the wireless phone charger and test the USB port by connecting a different device. If the other device doesn't charge, the USB port may be faulty.

  3. Check the car's fuse box for a blown fuse related to the head unit.
