Try restting it by unplugging the tv for a few mins and it should rest to original factory default settings but leave it unplugged 10-15 mins to be sure.

I have a Pioneer PDP-LX5090, Kuro Flatscreen TV, connected via HDMI4 on a Pioneer AV-receiver VSX-LX60.
By connection a Chrome cast on one of the HDMI ports of the AV-receiver I got the same CEC100 error with the same message "device cannot be operated. please check the connection". By disconnection the Chromecast from the USB current feed, the problem dissapeared. Hope this can help you.

There should be buttons on the TV itself to try if your remote is not working. My guess is that SkyeTV comes into the TV through a HDMI cable, so look for HDMI input as source, not "Skye."

The hdmi cord must be connected to your tv and the other device. Your tv should recognize this immediately. When plugging in new cords. Unplug tv first. This will help it to reset itself.

Put is on Kijiji or Craigslist or a local Facebook buy and sell page. We are FIXYA dot com, we don't provide the service you are offering. Or put it by the kerb the day before garbage day with a sign saying 'Good Working Order'. It will be gone by morning.
