Why does my Motorola S9-HD bluetooth only plays

I just had the same issue. I charge my headset every day so I came to the conclusion that the short was due to a small piece of metal shorting out a connector in the chargeing port of the headset. I fixed it by first opening the charging cover and holding the headset by the ears in one hand. I then lightly tapped the opening against my other hand to loosen the metal shard. After doing this a few times, the sound came back. I then used a can of compressed air to finally flush out the intrusive shard. I didn't see how large it was but now my S9-HD headphones work! I'll check the connections on my 2 chargers to see if they have any evidence of breakage because I did notice when I plug in the set, I have to jiggle the connector a little recently.

Connect the player to the PC and scan the files within. If there is any virus/malware detected please remove all files and clear the memory. Now reload with safe files and to only about 85% of the memory space of the player. If there is a reset please also reset the player after loading with new files.

Recently i have purchased Motorola

Bluetooth headsets, like many portable devices can be charged on a USB port on a computer, which supply less than 1A, so either charger would be suitable.
Looking at the manual, a full charge should take two hours, so half an hour seems a little quick.
Perhaps it was part charged?
You could see if you can listen to music for six hours on a charge, and if so how long it takes to charge then.
The manual can be found here.S9 user guide - Motorola

I have metro pcs phone service and a motorola s9

Press and hold the power key (under the red cover) longer than the time required to turn it on, until its indicator light is alternately flashing in red and blue. It is in pairing mode (discoverable) now. Then, make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a little while, the S9 should appear on-screen. Select it and make it connect. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros). If the pairing process is successful, the S9 should enter the stand-by mode. There could be such an indicaton in your phone too.

Hope it works for you.

By the way, if your headset's user guide happens to be missing, feel free to download it from this location.

Anyway, please, let me know if I can help you any further.

I have ZERO functionality on the right side of my

Motorola Headset S9 Control Keys Prob.

Hi
i am using motorola S9 for last one year.
I had the same problem of controls keys which i have corrected of my own.
Most of the sites i read say's this problem is due to the moisture.
Let me tell its not because of moisture.
Below steps will help you guys hopefully if its only the keys control problem.
Take the headset,The control keys are placed near the ear plugs within a area
which is different from the other part.
now what u have to do is just take some sharp thing or your nails enough and
move it around the control keys area (edges) and peel off the rubber layer
carefully. Please note its very soft rubber so be careful not tear it off else it
will be spoiled completely.
After u remove this layer u wll find layer of plastic attached to the rubber
whichh u took out and the same kind on the base. you will fin ther will be
small vertical lines and center one dot on the peeled out rubber and on base
horizontal 2-3 thin lines at the edges and dot at the centre.
actually thes are the contacts which acts as a switch if u observe it would have
been covered with the rubber kind of gum used to stick thes layers.
Just clean these (only)contacts area with piece of cloth and use some rubber kind
of glue (Do not use Feviquik it will spoil the strips completely) at edges and put
it back ,b4 fixing it gum u can test it by just keeping it and check if the keys
are working then fix every thing as it was b4 and stick the peeled out rubber panel
with the same type of glue.
there u are ur problem is solved enjoy the best music experirnce with your S9.
If u have any problem or Queries please post it i wll try to answer as soon as
possible.
if u want a video for this i wll b up loading it soon and post d link.

HOW CAN I PUT MY MUSIC ONTO IT

MP3 players need the music files converted to mp3 file format before copying to your MP3 player.
1st - You need to convert your CDs to MP3 musicfiles.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.
There are also Freeware CD RIP programs on the Internet that add the musictitle and album title to the mp3 file automatically.
OR
Download MP3 music files from the Internet to your computer, some sites willcost money to download these music files.
2nd - connect your MP3 player to your computer using the supplied USB cable. The computer will see this player as an external storage device, Just copy theMP3 music files from the computer's hard disk to the MP3 player. I suggest you create a album/title folder for eachCD so you can place the MP3 music files by that artist into that folder. Thencopy these folders to your MP3 player and you will be able to select and playyour MP3 music by selecting the album you wish to play.
NOTE - When the USB cable is connected to the computer, it will also charge theMP3 player's battery.

Motorola S9-HD Volume got low

Hello,

How long have you used the set for, about a month? Motorola seems to have poor quality control with these headsets and they tend to fail after 1 month of usage.

But lets go over some steps in any case. First try reseting the head phones, turn them off by holding down the power button until indicator light flashes red 3 times. Wait a moment and turn them back on, do restart your iphone aswell. Then re-pair the headphones to the iphone. Passkey was 0000.

If you are still having volume trouble, then most likely the headphones are faulty, bu try to Fully charge the headphones overnight for example and repeat the above.

If the problem still remains, I think you are still in warranty right? Give a call to motorola, explain the issue to them, they will probably give similar instructions, and eventually they should offer to replace your headphones if you are in warranty.

If the new set develops similar issues again after one month of use, you again have a faulty pair. I don't know what I would recommend at that point, might be best to find new headphones.

Make sure you're using the right USB charger. Just because the plug is similar in shape doesn't mean the correct voltage is getting to the headphones.

Motorola s9 battery dead how to replace it. for

After googling the problem, I saw a couple of PDF documents that said that Motorola would replace or change the battery, but the links to the documents were outdated. At this site, they said the battery is non-replaceable: http://direct.motorola.com/ens/s9/Headset_Home.asp.

I found this site for support, and it looks like it might be worth a try:
http://www.motorola.com/consumers/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=26428dda028e0210VgnVCM1000008406b00aRCRD
It looks to me like the battery can be replaced, at the service level, but that normally it is a throwaway item at the consumer level. See if they can help you, but, of course, get the price first, and that will tell you whether to have it fixed or replaced. Good luck, and hope this helps.
