To program your universal remote to work with your Astron TV, follow these steps:
Aim your universal remote toward the Astron TV.
Press and hold the "SET" button until the small light on the remote control illuminates.
Enter the remote code using the numeric keys.
Upon entering the correct code, the remote light will turn off.
For Astron TVs, the Chunghop universal remote is recommended due to its compatibility and easy programming. Alternatively, you can try a GE universal remote, but you'll need to program it without specific codes.
If you encounter any issues with your Astron TV remote, such as it not working, consider resetting it to factory settings.
1 .Picture Mode: Explore different picture modes on your TV. Some modes might have preset configurations that affect brightness. Choose a mode that suits your preferences
2.Advanced Settings: Look for advanced settings or options related to color temperature, gamma, or dynamic contrast. Tinkering with these settings might provide more control over the display.
Check if the volume knob on the DVD player is stuck or damaged. If it is, try cleaning it with a soft cloth and see if that helps.
If the volume knob is not the issue, try cleaning the laser lens inside the DVD player with a cotton swab and alcohol. This can help remove any dirt or dust that may be interfering with the player's operation.
If the above steps do not work, try resetting the device by holding down the power button for about 10 seconds. This action refreshes the system and closes all running processes, potentially resolving the glitch. If this does not work, I suspect you would have to have a repair shot take a look or consult customer service of the device.
You are attacking this back to front. The Universal Remote is irrelevant, it is all about the the television make NOT the remote. Not that anyone uses Universal Remotes any more! And they aren't 'access codes' they are Remote Codes. Have a read
