So it is always best to use vacuum cleaner for removing dirt particles from the floor. This is one of the advantages of hardwood flooring. since you did not provide make and model, generically it is the safety sensors located an each side of door. Something is blocking one or both of the or they are out of alignment. They do fail and sensors are easily replaced. Refer to you manual or instructions that came with unit. Don't have it google your make and model followed by manual.

Contact Lutron direct with a view to getting a warranty repair or parts for it. You can try turning off the breaker that supplies power to that circuit for 5 minutes. That is the closest you will get to a reset.
