Door monitor is flashing green then red

This can happen when power is interrupted. Try this. Unplug, let it sit for a minute and plug it back in.

Mygarage door opener was purchased used. I don't have any directions for adjustments.

There are screws on the unit to adjust the opening and closing tension and place it stops. They are probably set for the previous installation and need to be adjusted for yours.

Our garage door won't open all the way. It stops just short of being open all the way but not enough to get the car out. What is the problem? Can we fix it ourself?

Hello Pat Remus, Chamberlain... Has been around for a very long time ... type of door... presumed to be OVER-HEAD... Operation issues .... (were okay (?) sudden fialure is likely a BROKEN BALANCE SPRING EASY to check... CAUTION: doors can be EXTREMELY heavy. FROM the closed position... (to avoid a door crash)... You should be able to disconnect your GARAGE opener... and feel the well balanced motion rom the full open to FULL closed. If you hear any chatter of springs. THEY need to be lubed (often)... ELSE That "chatter" will turn into "SHATTER"... Those springs will break... and need to be replaced ( pretty RISKY job best done by a SERVICE company )... If the door is quiet & well balanced... Then it is time to check the "travel" contacts... and adjust them the the proper HEIGHT is achieved. >> READ THE MANUAL... OWNERS (model??) No exact matches found Try these results Hope this helps... Just installed new Chamberlain motor but makes loud snap when door opens and closes about 3 inches from ground?

Do you have a security system in your home? Sometimes the door shut sensors get out of alignment and the door strikes the sensor. This is the exact same problem I had with my door.

Remote and garage door opener not communicating.

You may need to replace the battery in the remote control. Most usually these will be double A ones. You may have to reprogram it when you try it again. You should be able to get the information on Google by typing in the make of the inside unit in your garage. Your remote may have this info on it as well. You should be able to pull up instruction on how to reprogram your unit.

Garage door won't go down all the way and then reverses to open

Check that the wheels and bearings are turning freely and that the door is not cocking to one side when closing. If the wheels are catching because of bad bearings, because the tracks are out of true or because the door is not staying straight in the tracks, the motor thinks that the door is hitting a car or a person and reverses. One thing to try: disengage the motor and try moving the door through the full traverse. Most automatic doors have a pull-cord that disengages the door from the motor. CAUTION: You may need a friend to help with the door, because it could be surprisingly heavy,.

Chamberlain garage door travel programming

Seems like you either have your photo cells out of alignment or disconnect from operator or a short in the photo cells wires.... make sure the you can see the green LED light on one and a amber/red on the other at the same time with no flashing or flickering. The green represents power supply to units and other color represents alignment, both are a must! so make sure you see them on solid without blinking or flickering.

I have the 3/4 Whisper Drive Plus. It will open about 3-5 inches then close and open 3-5 in and stay that way.

It could be as simple as a drive motor force adjustment... (you will have to get out the instruction manual) Most likely your balance spring... one has failed look over your springs very carefully... if one has shattered your counter-weigh is only lifting HALF the weight of your door. Most garage doors need to be fairly NEUTRALLY BALANCED for the best, longest and reliable use. Routine lubrication of the springs can add decades of useful life to your springs... CHATTERING Springs make a lot of noise and will soon shatter (break). Sears makes house calls... but they try to sell openers... you don't need. https://www.bing.com/search?q=overhead%20garage%20door%20service&qs=n&form=QBRE&pq=overhead%20garage%20door%20service&sc=8-28&sp=-1&sk=&cvid=10E42AB45BFC41CC8E82D92DA893AB36 Sears Online In Store Shopping Appliances Clothing More

Multifunctional control panel will not work when i tried to synchronize door control and light bulb on garage door does not light up?

I'm not familiar with the whisper drive but I would start with the most obvious place for a problem. There are two units at teach side at the bottom of the door jam. They have to be lined up for the door to work. This is the most frequent problem I have found because they are close to the floor and can be bumped out of alignment. Check to see if one of them have been moved. Most of these little plastic units have a plastic locator pin in the top of the unit. these pins snap into the mounting bracket. If the unit has been bumped just move the pin until it snaps back into the bracket. I'm not a contractor but I have seen this happen a lot with friends and family. Ask the easy questions first. Is it plugged in? Is the breaker in the power panel tripped? Good luck

Only the multi function control panel opens/closes garage door. Remotes and keyless entry do not work.

There's a lot of things that can cause range issues. Wireless routers to close to the garage. Bad LED or CFL bulbs. Faulty circuit board. A faulty motion detector on a light. Sometimes if you turn all of the breakers off except to the garage you can isolate it. If that doesn't help call a garage door company to come out.
