I have a hp 2575 printer, i need to know how to print with out color cartridge. I keep getting error code to remove color cartridge

Remove the cartridges and do a full reset without them in by removing the wall socket and re-plugging.

Hi,

The "Oxc1ab" series errors can be removed by resetting the printer. Unplug the USB cable from the printer, remove the ink cartridges. When the "Insert ink cartridges" message appears unplug the power cord from the printer. Wait 1 minute (at least), then reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer if it didn't come on by itself. Reinsert the ink, close the unit and print a calibration page if prompted to do so. Finally reconnect the USB cable to the printer. If this doesn't work, the unit needs service (or replacement if the service call will cost more than a new printer).

Is this a Hp cartridge or a cheaper brand?
I got this error myself too with cheaper cartridges.

Hi I found this I know your error not in here but it may work for It worth a try nothing to lose and it may work. I know your error code is not in this but it some times it clean the error with this type of error number you can gave it a go try not harm it Error code: 0xc18a0201, 0xc18a0206, 0xc18a0306, 0xc18a030a, 0xd0620130, 0x887dd03a, 0xd05d010d, 0xf0af8004, 0xc19ac3ff, 0xc18a050...

Reset the product:
1. Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.
2. Remove the cartridges from the product.
3. Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
5. Wait 60 seconds.
6. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button ( ).
7. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product.
8. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
9. Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the product, and then try printing again.

this problem may be due to the senser in socket where you are insert the cartridge. so pls clean the socket with cotton using cleanin g liquid eg petrol , spirit or even nail polish remover

You can but you still need to have functioning colour carts

It could be a bad cartridge. I would get another color cartridge, and try it. If it works properly, then I would take the first one back. If the second one does not work, then most likely the printer is shot. If you are mechanically inclined, the cartridge tray can be ordered from HP and replaced. This is however not an average user type of repair. Usually, printers cost almost as much to have serviced as they do new, so you can get an estimate from a local shop, but you might be just as well to purchase a replacement.

Hi, this printer color cartridge contains all colors in one. So if you can print with one color means that the whole cartrige is ok but one or more colors ended. And you should had a low ink message on screen if it was genuine HP. Best thing to do is to go and buy a new one cartridge and see how it will go. This cartridge is green color.

Remove and check both cartridges. Make sure you removed the tape and that all the contact points are clean. If that fails, I would recommend taking the cartridges back and exchanging them or replacing them (make sure you get the OEM cartridges, not third party refilled cartridges).

You know, I'm not going to read the other solution. I know 100% FOR SURE, when a cartridge fails, it is dead and there is nothing you can do about it, but there is a good side. HP ink cartridges have a year warranty. Call them and tell them it failed, they'll send you a new one!
