Control board i have a mah7500aww washer for which the the LCD touch control board is dead. I have power to the machine, and power to the board itself. The door light works too. unit was bought in Feb. of 2005 but only used the last 2 years. This board looks like big money. How can I test the output of this board. I have many years of control work. If it is the LCD control board what should be a fair price for it.? Thanks

Ge washer GFWS3500L0WW Has no power on the control board...Its dead...I get 120 volts at the door switch but nothing back out that returns to the control is this a faulty door switch?

Not likely that the door switch is killing the power to the control board.
It may stop the machine from going through cycles, but it shouldn't turn off the control. It's probably that the door switch has one side always powered and they connect it to the other side of AC when they want it to engage or the relay for the door switch happens to be stuck in this mode when the control board went out.

Maytag Neptune Front Load Washers No Spin Problem

A class suit was filed in the State of Illinois, USA and then later on won against Maytag in 2004 due to the high failure rate of the wax motor used in the door lock mechanism of their Neptune Front Load Washers. The wax motor is used to activate the door lock switch by extending its shaft when a voltage from the machine control is applied across its terminals. Its failure then leads to the breaking down of components in the expensive machine control board. This is the fact that angered the customers which led to the filing of the class suit.

The obvious symptom of a failed wax motor is the inability of the washer to advance to the spin cycle and the door lock lamp is not turned on. The washer stops momentarily at the end of the wash cycle then continue to tumble as the machine control checks the activation of the door lock switch. The control will not allow a spin speed higher than 51 revolutions per minute (RPM) unless the door lock switch is activated by the wax motor. It is a safety feature of the washer to prevent accident due to accidental opening of the washer door during a high speed spin.

Customers who purchased the Neptune Front Load Washers in the USA after April 1, 1997 and before August 9, 2004 are Class members and eligible for the repair reimbursement, replacement cost, or purchase certificate depending on the length of service of the machine. Call up Maytag at 1-888-MAYTAG (1-888-629824) for more information.

The models included in the class suit are as follows: MLE2000AYW, MLE2000AWW, MLE2000AZW, MLG2000AWW (Gas Stack Unit), MAH3000AAW, MAH3000AEW, MAH3000AGW, MAH3000AWA, MAH3000AWW, MAH3000BGW, MAH4000AWW, MAH4000BWW, MAH4000AWQ, MAH4000BWQ, MAH5500AWW, MAH5500BWW, MAH5500BWW, MAH5500BWQ, MAH55FLBWW, MAH55FLBWQ, MAH6500AWW, MAH6500AWQ, MAH7500AWW, MAH7500AWQ, MAH7550AAW, MAH7550AGW.

Door will not lock to start wash cycl

This sounds like a classic door lock problem. There was a design change in the lock assembly because of numerous problems.
You say you had the door replaced, did they replace the lock assy also?
The control puts power to the wax motor that operates the latch. As the door locks, the latch activates the lock switch that tells the control the door is locked.
What kind of reading are you getting on the lock switch?
Thanks/Mike

Mah7500aww washer will not start. Washer display says that one or more of the keypads appear to be stuck...icahn get the washer to start sometimes after pushing ok then start after display warning ap

This could be a Control Board failure. I would try to recycle 120VAC power to the washer. Leave it off of about 20 minutes then re-power up. If that doesn't clear the issue then I believe your Control Board has failed. Do you have surge protection at the washer 120VAC outlet? Have you had any recent lighting storm activity? The Control Board is under warranty for 5 yrs from date of purchase.
If it is out of warranty, then here is a link to the new control board.

My Neptune washer MAH7500AWW says that the washer won't lock to work. It does this on and off. How do we fix it?

You may have to change the wax motor (lock) on it. Before you door so though check the board in the control heading for a burn mark on the R34 resistorwhich is located near the middle of the board. If its burnt change both parts out or it will keep doing the same thing.

Control panel dead, door is locked

heres a few ideas.
1 first check your power going to the machine the plug, inspect wires leading up to it.

3 if you are sure the control panel is dead order a new one and replace it pretty easy. only if you are sure.
4 last resort - take the top off it to get to the latch. if the latch is on the top, make sure. you should be able to get the latch from here,if not you have to take the front off too, which is a pain.

most likley the circut board in the control panel is bad and i think you have to order the whole thing, i think. remove the screw in back and look to see if any circut board can be removed by itself. to replace the controls its just a matter of a few screws and plugging things back in order.

Maytag Neptune MAH7500AWW Speed Indication Error - Won't spin up...

Sorry, I cannot solve this. I just wanted to post a couple of useful tips for anyone else out there who happens to be diagnosing their MAH7500AWW.

1. You can put the washing machine into service mode by pressing the <back> and <help> buttons for 5 seconds and then releasing.
2. There is a large folded troubleshooting schematic located under the top console. You have to remove a few screws and lift it up to pull it out.
