Most times this is a defective fresh food section door light switch located in this photo as location number 609. If you do not already have the new free Adoobe Reader installed on your computer click here=> Adobe Reader X (10.1) Just make sure to uncheck the items not needed during the download. There also could be another problem related to the mother board that can also keep the light on while door is close but not likely. The part number for the light swirch is=> WR23X10175 Light Switch Information on how to test the switch is also on that page. Until we have repaired the problem please unplug and remove the lights because this heat will keep the refrigerator running and possibly melt the plastic housing holding the bulbs. Bad lite switch,take out the bulbs until you replace the switch.open the door and push in on the lite switch,does the lite go out?if it doesn't go out you have a bad switch,if it does go out then you have a problem with the shims on the door but remove the bulbs until you repair it.
