I have to connect my RDX 1000 500GB in a laptop to get some data but when i turn on my laptop ask me for a password and i don't know. Sombody have an idea to know the password?

You have too choices, reformat the hard drive," warning " all personal data and password will be erased, or you can go to www.ebay.com type HDD password and go through the list of sellers.

Maybe virus invade your computer.

You can reset windows password if you do not want to reinstall windows with lose data.

Reset windows password, you can use safe mode, rese disk and so on.And I recommend use reset tool,such as Windows Password Reset Deluxe, for it is convenience and guaranteed

if you remember the password and it doesnt work connect an external key board and check it with external keyboard if you dont know the password ask again

You don't know your operating system's password, then you'll do one thing which is 'install a new OS in your PC'

If you've forgotten your user account (profile) password, there are some options you have available.

If I were in your shoes, I'd probably go with #2 or #3. If you have data on your computer that you don't want to lose, then #3 is probably your best option. If passwords were easy to bypass, then we wouldn't have them.

You have to unlock the hard drive from within BIOS if you don't want to see that screen again. However, if you don't know that password then the laptop is not going to usable by you. Normally this prevents access to a computer in case someone steals it, since the thief won't know the hdd password and can't unlock it to access any data.

Does it ask for a password Immediately when you turn it on? (CMOS password) or does windows boot up and then ask for both a username and password?

If the first, and you don't know what your password is, you can try clearing the CMOS by pulling the battery from the motherboard.

If it's a windows password, you or someone else created a password for it. Try just clicking OK, or enter Administrator as the username and leave password blank. Otherwise you may have to reset using ultimate boot CD.
