1. Replace D 6116 and D 6301 on the "G" board, do not re-solder as this will fix the problem temporary. Or Panel Module Error or Thermal Error. If it is intermittent 9 blinks, meaning sometimes the TV comes on and other times you get flashing, then change the switching regulator on the "G" board or check connections. Blinking of standby light in Sony sets are fault indications. You just count the number of blinks occur at a time, by switching the set ON-OFF by its front panel power switch, not by the remote control handset. Just do it for at least three or four times, count the exact number of blinks occurs there, and inform it to me through Fixya. Through the number of blinks, I can locate the faulty section, of somtimes to the exact fault location. Count it keenly and inform me. OK.

In sony tv`s the 4 blink code(sony error codes)usually means that there is a vertical deflection problem.
It is often caused by a faulty vertical output i.c and/or related components. If you feel handy with a soldering iron let me know and i`ll help you with it.

When I turn on the TV I hear the click sound and the TV powers up. Immediatly the red (standby) light begins to flash 6 times on and off. this happenes only in the morning, but after 5:00PM when youturn on the TV as if nothing is wrong.

what is the problem?
