The previous memory is not compatible to the system. try to clean the memory card and the memory slot before you plug in the memory card. you can use blush to clean the memory slot and eraser to clean the memory card.

Hello tlp7
Probably the slots need a good clean up . Use a soft cloth or a brush with methanol or similar to get them
spotless and clean the old memory pins the same way . Ensure your new memory card is compatible with your system .
Best regards ,

Reinstall xp wind

you are in the operating system when you see a blue screen, the bios is before the computer boots int the operating sys, it is like the heart, of a computre, you don't need an operating system fo booting into bios, thats like a new harddrive that would have nothon it yet, the bios must be acccesed prior to booting into windows

Sounds like you could have fried something, I'd say if pulling memory all out and putting memory back in doesn't solve the issue you should go into hock and buy a new computer.

Acer Desktop crashing

Hi,
This could be an operating system fault ( Windows/Linux ) But more likely a Hardware or external connected device error.
Solution 1:) try re-installing Windows.

Solution 2:) remove any external add ons, printer/USB devices et,c. And run the computer without Them.
If the computer runs without error, you can pinpoint a faulty external or addon device.

Computer freezes during startup

Hi, This is typical when the motherboard (CMOS/BIOS) is having a difficult time auto detecting the devices installed including drives, videocard, sound card, network, etc. Initially set your CMOS/BIOS to default/fail-safe settings, save & exit. Perhaps you can try running with the barest of add-on devices as you have posted initially, but do it one step further, remove everything including that one last HD (with the correct jumper settings). If you have onboard video use that one rather than an AGP or PCI-E add-on. Run the unit with just a single memory. No cables other than power and front panel. Thereafter connect your devices one by one and try every time a new one is added. This include removing any USB devices/cables plugged in. More often it is an add-on that causes freezing at this point as you have described. You may also venture in trying to flash your BIOS (however pls be forewarned of possible difficulty/failure when doing so). Hope this be of some help/idea. post back how things turned up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
