Set not ringing

In our office some phones/sets need to ring when a call comes in. I cannot get my phone to ring on incoming calls. Internal calls ring fine.
Thanks

Sorry... I didn't even say what model phone. It is the M7310. It rings at switchboard and should ring at my line, but doesn't. I am the person responsible for doing the programming.

    Thanks

    Hi Jason1222,

All I do are the physical phones e.g. names, date, time etc.

I am not sure what you mean by the PBX

My extension used to ring but I changed my office and since then it no longer rings. It just flashes.

In the manual, it says to press SHOW the ADD and enter the extension I want to ring but I cannot find an "add" button.

    Thanks for your help.

we are having the same problem. all but two phones (out of 7) used to ring as the 5 ringing phones were for admin assistants. now only 2 phones are ringing and go figure they are the phones in the conference rooms and not at the desks of the admin assistants.

we are still able to see the flashing arrows for each line and pickup the calls, we are just unable to hear the ring from our personal phone and have to listen for the rings from the 2 other phones located in the office.

    Hi Deborah15,

It's mitelmike again, I have been out of town and did not have internet access as I was installing the wiring in a motel in a remote area and services have not been installed. Where do we stand with your request? Was Jason122 able to resolve your problem? If not can you please give me your old extension number, your new extension number and we will copy the programming from your old to your new extension and that should solve your ringing problems. Let me know ....Mike

When you say you are the one responsible for the programming, are you referring to programming the "physical phone" or the PBX and line cards and system functionality?

You should have an extension on your phone. Has that extension for example 222 been translated at the PBX to ring on a direct number -> (xxx) 555-1222

Or by what you are describing, you are more looking at having "shared lines" that ring in multiple locations simultaneously, and once picked up somewhere a "line lock" should be in place?

How to get incoming calls to two handsets

The system should be configured so that the desired lines, whether CO or extensions, are set to "Appear and Ring" on each set.
Config... Terminals&sets... Show Set... (enter #)... Find...Line Access... Line Assignments... Show Line (enter #)... set to "Appear and Ring" on each set that needs to ring.

You can also have a line "Ring Only" without an appearance (dedicated button), in which case it will show as an intercom call.

We just had a used Meridian phone system installed. Only one of my phones will ring when there is an incoming call. The other phones only indicate that there is a call coming in by the flashing line...

You will need to go into programming and set all the phones to ring.
Log in: Feature **266344, 266344
Scroll to Configuration > Line Access > Enter set number > Scroll to Ringing> Then go to each line and set it to ring.

Incoming ring volume

It has been my experience with these office phones, that you need to change the volume while somone is calling or while the phone is ringing. Try that, have someone buzz the phone, then while it is ringing, click the volume button up or down.

Incoming calls to office cause all phones to ring in classrooms

Changing ringing on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11.
At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
Next press the left hand intercom twice
The display should say system programming

Press the right hand intercom once. The display should say Centralized Programming.

Enter in the extension number that you want to program.

Press the line that you want to ring.
A solid light on the line means immediate ringing
A slow flashing light means delayed ringing (meaning the phone will wait 3 rings before starting to ring.)
A fast flashing light means no ringing.

When finished with that station press the right hand intercom and enter in the next extension to program and set ringing accordingly.

Press feature "00" to logout
Hope that helps
