Zanussi 1431 - All lights flash when push any button.

I would call an appliance tech. This definately is an advanced issue required by a tech to diagnose.

The dish washer control panel is defective most likely, have it diagnosed.

Have you selected a program?

Try this..
Reading Error Codes 1. Wake the washer by pressing any button. 2. Wait 5 seconds. 3. Press and hold the START/PAUSE and CANCEL buttons simultaneously. As long as the buttons are held, the failure code will appear in the display as an "E" followed by two numbers, a number and a letter or two letters. The control will beep and the Door Lock, Wash, Rinse, and Final Spin indicator lights will flash. let me know what code come up.

I've had the same problem. I removed the top lit and found some pressure transmitter and a pressure switch. I suspect that the pressure transmitter is use for measuring the waterlevel in the machine. I think the membrane loses its flexibility over the years.
I pulled of the hose from the transmitter and blowed and sucked a few times on the transmitter. After doing this the machine washes without a problem since then.

Check start delay time ( if your machine has one ) , If any time is set on this the machine will not start untill that time has elapsed or is cancelled.

unplug for 40 minutes to reset the ECU. If still doing the same - replace the ECU.

This is a motor problem the end light flashing 5 times indicates error E50. The motor has either got wet or has just failed i would suggest trying to dry it 1st but i would suspect the motor has gone down to earth usually having to replace it. The part no. DST1246179079 Motor aprox £195 but shop around you may find it cheeper.

I had the same problem my 3 yr old had been playing with the buttons and the whole thing just locked up and displayed ERR no amount of unplugging turning off would fix it.

Till ...........

• Take off the top
• Unscrew front panel and remove,
• Then remove circuit board from panel,
• Desolder the square battery,
• Leave to stand around 15 Min's, (would recomend longer to be sure)
• Re-solder Battery refit circuit board and refit panel.

This discharges the program memory chip and resets to default.

Hope this helps it's not so hard as it sounds just take care with the battery. DON'T put to much heat on it use a screwdriver on the small connections to act as a heatsink.
