A sandisk adapter does not contain any information at all as it is just an adapter. You need to have a smaller memory card plugged into it because as stated above what your talking about is just an adapter. If you do have the smaller memory card plugged in you just simply open my computer ,after it is plugged in, and open the removable disk drive/folder and then select your data by dragging and highlighting it and right click, copy, and paste the information to wherever you want it.

I have a sandisk 2gb micro sd card. I put it into my computer's card reader and it keeps saying it needs to be formatted. When I try to format it it says windows was unable to complete the format. I am...

> unable to complete the format.

The FORMAT process is trying to write data to the card, but that writing is NOT successful,
i.e., the memory on the card is damaged/defective, and so it "fails".

Responsibly recycle the card, and purchase a replacement memory-card.

My computer won't recognise my sandisk card reader D33D21? Are drivers available for this on windows 7?

You should not need drivers. Chances are that the drive died. I would try putting this device in another computer first. see the results. The wear leveling mechanism on most of these drives is limited; and it will start "not working" when it's reached the end of life. A professional data recovery company can get it back usually. http://techrxgb.com

My sandisk M2 4gb disk crashed

Your card has most likely become damaged or corrupted and you will need a data recovery application to try and pull the pictures off of it. I recommend the programs from http://www.runtime.org/data-recovery-products.htm I have been using them for years with great results.

What you will want to do it get a product like GetDataBack for FAT V4.00 assuming your sandisk card has a fat file system (Which it should). Once you have your recovery app installed you will then load your card into the card reader and plug it into your computer. Open up your recovery app and it should allow you select the card reader or the card itself. The recovery app will then do a low level scan of your card and attempt to pull any data it can from it. This process is honestly hit or miss, but it is really the only chance you have at home for recovering data.

If this fails and you really want your data back there are recovery companies like On Track that you can pay to retrieve your data. They have VERY good odds of getting your data back, but their prices are a bit high.
