Hi - I have an Acer Aspire One netbook & Acer Game problem

You can check the basic system requirement for the game and then check whether your laptop meets the requirement or not.
If your system meets the requirement then you can try to uninstall the game and then reinstall it.
This should help you.

Me too.

Official ToonTown response:

Dear Toontown Guest,

Thank you for your bug report.

If you are downloading an older version of Toontown, you may need to
remove old files or controls that are temporarily saved to your machine
in order to update the game.

To correct the problem, you will need to delete the ActiveX control.
This will force you to download the most recent ActiveX control
available the next time you play.

To delete the current ActiveX controls, please complete the following:

First let's try clearing your cache files within your browser. Within
Microsoft(R) Internet Explorer 5.0 and later, cache is referred to as
Temporary Internet Files. It is recommended that these files be removed
regularly. To remove Temporary Internet Files:

1)Double-click the Internet Explorer icon
2)Click Tools on the menu bar
3)Select Internet Options
4)Click the General tab (furthest to the left)
5)Click the Delete Files button (halfway down the screen)
6)Click the OK button
7)Click Yes

To remove cookies, do the following:

1)Click the Settings button on the General tab.
2)Click View Files.
3)Find any cookies that contain the words "GO" or "Disney" or
"Toontown".
4)Click once on the cookie and then press the delete key on your
keyboard.

To remove the ActiveX control, do the following:

1)Click the Setting button on the General tab
2)Click View Objects
3)Find the Toontown Installer ActiveX Object, right click and select
Remove
4)Click OK

If this does not solve your problem, the files may be stored at your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or somewhere in between (i.e. your
Internet proxy). When this is the case, the only thing that can be done
is to wait for a periodic update by your ISP or Internet proxy. Updates
can occur as often as every day, however, this will depend on your
particular ISP.

We are currently working on a fix for this that will be posted to the
website soon.

Please also ensure that any other security software (Anti-Spam, Popup
Blocker, Anti-Virus, Firewall, Proxy, Script-Blocker, Age-Restriction)
is configured to allow Toontown test to connect to the internet.

We know you had a problem accessing the test site but we really need to
have the log files from the test game to address test serve issues.

We apologize for this inconvenience and look forward to seeing your
Toons in the Toontown Central Playground!

Thank You,

Wendell

CAN NOT PLAY GAMES

I would start by upgrading the video card, because it is most likely the problem. Also try lowering the quality settings within the games themselves to increase performance. RAM also plays a factor in games, these days 2GB of RAM and up is ideal for gaming.

Installing or re-installing Sun Java
  1. Go to the Sun Java Download page at www.java.com.
  2. The steps may vary as Sun updates this page periodically.
  3. Click the Download button that is usually on the right side of the page.
  4. Click the Begin Download button.
  5. Next you may encounter a warning message that instructs you on 'Installing the ActiveX Control'. Please follow the instruction to allow the installation.
  6. If you see a Security Warning for installing the J2SE Runtime Environment, click Install.
  7. Next you will be prompted to read and accept the license agreement. After reading the agreement click next to 'I accept...' and click Next.
  8. When prompted, choose 'Typical' installation, and click Next.
  9. When the installation is complete, you may be asked to restart your computer now or later. Choose to restart it now.
  10. After your computer has restarted and you are online, go back and try to play again.
Once you are sure you are using the latest version of Sun Java, please follow these instructions to delete the Java cache and objects if you're using Windows.
  • Click the following things in order: Start -> Control Panel -> Java -> 'General' tab.
  • Click the Delete Files button located in the Temporary Internet Files section.
  • Make sure all three boxes are selected, and click OK.
This should probably be done whenever you encounter a problem with the way a game is functioning. Restarting your computer after doing so can also help the performance of the game.

Flash 9 freezes after 1st. video plays on The Fan.

Lets Start from here:

Before you install Shockwave Player for any Windows browser, uninstall all previous versions.
In order to remove the Shockwave player, simply use the file UNWISE.EXE located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\Adobe\Shockwave 11. Windows users can also use the Add/Remove programs located in the Windows control panel. This will remove the Shockwave 10 player
For the Shockwave 8 and 8.5 there is an uninstaller available from the Web Players page.
Note: All applications must be closed before you run the Shockwave Player uninstaller. Quit all running applications, including all Internet Explorer or other browser windows, and all Instant Messenger clients. Check the Windows system tray carefully to make certain no applications which might possibly use Shockwave Player are still in memory.
After you have removed previous versions, you are ready to download and/or install Shockwave Player.

Before installing Shockwave Player, please check the following browser settings:
Internet Explorer ActiveX settings

Browser security settings should be chosen by you or by your system administrator. For single users who do not have an administrator, the Medium: Default Level allows you to view Shockwave content. For any Custom Level, ensure that both the "Download Signed ActiveX controls" and "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" options are set to "Prompt".

To change security level in Internet Explorer:

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Choose Tools > Internet Options.
3. Select the Security tab.
4. Select Custom Level.
5. Find the section "ActiveX controls and plug-ins".
6. Set ' Download Signed ActiveX Controls' to Prompt.
7. Set 'Run ActiveX Controls And Plug-ins' to Prompt.

If you are having trouble installing, make sure that your Internet Explorer security level is not set to High or to a custom level that does not allow viewing of ActiveX controls.
Computer user permissions

User permissions determine whether or not you are allowed to install ActiveX controls or plug-ins. If you don't have Administrator access to Windows XP SP2, or Vista you may not be able to install Shockwave Player successfully. Administrative privileges are required for the Windows system registry and for the C:\WINDOWS\system32\Adobe\Shockwave folder.
If the ActiveX Control for Shockwave Player fails to install, download the executable installer.

If the information above has not resolved the issue, download the executable Shockwave Player installer here:

* Download and latest Shockwave Player Installer.

Save this installer to your desktop, close out all applications, and run the installer. This may help if you are having trouble with the ActiveX installation from Adobe.com. To confirm that Shockwave Player has installed successfully, please click here. The two movies will show if you have Flash and Shockwave Players installed. The version numbers of the both Players will be displayed in the test movie.
