Hello when i turn on my access point d-link dwl 2100 ap i couldn't access to it by the ip i reset it several times but nothing changes even by the default ip of it 192.168.0.50 so plz help me

Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. Then configure wan settings and lan settings enable wireless if you want to use wifi If you are still not able to access with above ip then press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults then you can access it with above ip . after reset the wireless device you can connect only through 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 IP address.

1) Reset do default the device (rear reset button)
2) Set your PC a IP like 192.168.0.xxx (defaul IP address for DWL-2100 AP is 192.168.0.50)
3) Connecto via browser to 192.168.0.50, defaul login


To set IP address on you PC: goto LAN devices, click properties on your LAN, scroll down and selectInternet Protocol (TCP/IP), click properties, click set followingIP address:

IP: 192.168.0.1
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.50

Remove 13 screws from the perimeter of the back side of the DWL-2700AP and pull the covers apart. On the inside along the bottom adjacent from where the network cable plugs in, you will find a reset button. It is next to the white plug that leads to the antenna. You will need a flat screwdriver or something thin and sturdy to wedge between the casing and the reset button. While the AP has power, press the button and hold it in for a few seconds then release. Give it a few minutes and the factory defaults should be restored. Default IP: 192.168.0.50, Default subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

i have several of thees routers they do not asine ip adresses
conect them to a router that assignes an ip
mine are hooked up to the network via a linksys sisco rv082
and they work real good

The following reset procedure will completely restore the default settings on the access point including your password.

Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit.

Step 2 With the access point powered on, press and hold the Reset button.

Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.

Step 4 Release the Reset button.

Step 5 The device is now at factory defaults.

You must be in the same subnet as your device in order to configure it. If you are in the 192.168.1.0 subnet, change your IP address on your computer to the 192.168.0.0 subnet. Assign yourself a static in that subnet with the last octet between 1 and 254, but not 50. I use 192.168.0.250, but any unused IP address in that subnet will do. Once you are in the same subnet, you should be able to reach your AP. If you still can't get to the http interface, then go to plan B: Your access point came with a CD: D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G AP Manager that provides an alternate client interface. You can setup security and change the password, and SSID using the client interface software if your http connection does not do it for you. Once you change your IP to the 192.168.1.0 subnet (which I assume you intend as it sounds like that is your LAN subnet), give the AP the gateway address of your router's IP address, and change your IP address back to whatever it was on your computer.

If your AP password erros, you can't enter the setup page of your AP in you browser. Do hard reset. Press little button behind your AP about 30 seconds. Will reset your AP to factory default, IP 192.168.0.50 subnet 255.255.255.0 user name: admin password: leave it blank.

Once reset right click on the connection in the task bar ( icon with two computers) click status, click properties, scroll down and select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click properties, click use the following IP address:, and add the following:

IP: 192.168.0.66
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.50

Click OK, OK, and Close, Now Enter 192.168.0.50 in internet explorer and it will work. You can now change all the settings you wish to.
