Did you charge the batteries before you used them? if not you need to charge overnite to build up a good charge. If after an overnite charge you are showing full charge but you still get poor performance then you need to return the batteries for new ones. Remember just because they said they are new doesn't mean good They could have sat on the shelf for 6 months or more. Hope this helps

Battery won't stay charged

1. the car drain's the battery even when it is not started or the key isn't in ignicion, the car has a electrical problem, you left a light, the starter could drain it, the alternator as well, or a bad radio is draining the battery even with no key in the ignicion,
2 it's a bad battery (discharges it self by beeing counicated inside).

solucion 1. to see if the car is drainin the battery would be by disconecting a battery termina and see if discharges again, if not, then the car drain's the battery.

solucion 2. if the battery discharges even when if it's disconected from the car, then change the battery.

warning, the first cause coul'd induce to a self discharging battery. even if you changed the battery, do a litle monitoring to be sure it's not the car that is turning the battery bad. how? if you install a new battery, leave the car for a few days (i mean do not start the car) and see if the battery discharges, if so, then you have to search what is draining the battery (that could be a very costly work, time and money and complicated). or put a ''battery disconector'' so the car cannot discharge the battery.

New battery and only charge to 45%?

My new battery cam with an eight page manual containing instructions got use in a translated (poorly) version of the Chinese original. Of course I did not need a manual to install a new battery and ran into the same problem as you. Refer to the discarded manual and find one and a half pages on how to initialize a new battery.
OOPS JPG came out too small to read so here is a rough OCR

"User Manual on Laptop Battery

Respected users:
Thank you very much for trusting and using our laptop battery. Before using the battery, read this manual carefully. This instruction manual elaborates how to use and maintain the battery correctly. Batteries are consumables, and have a limited service life. However, we can prolong the life of the laptop battery considerably through correct operation, proper charging/discharging and correct storage.
Calibrate your laptop battery to optimize its performance
Inside the laptop battery is microprocessor software, which calculates the battery volume during the charging/discharging. Batteries must be calibrated from time to time to ensure correctness of the time and the percentage displayed on the screen. You must implement a complete cycle of charging and discharging the battery at the beginning of using the computer, and repeat this cycle every two or three months. The charging and discharging procedure is as follows:
1.Set the Power Supply option first: Right click on the screen and select Property -> Screen Saver -> Power Supply -> Power Use Scheme -> Portable. In all the subsequent operations such as When Computer and Use Battery, select Never. Under the Alert option, deselect Alert for deficient battery and Alert for serious battery shortage.
2.Disconnect the power adapter and use the battery until the computer is powered off due to exhaustion of the battery.
3.Connect the power adapter until the battery is charged to 100%. Before initial use of the computer (or resuming use of the computer after long-term storage), the battery must be charged to full.and discharged for 3-4 times to optimize the performance. The charging process takes more than five hours.
Note: When your battery is calibrated and reaches the best performance, set the Power Supply Options on your computer to the default value to ensure that the computer can send correct alerts to you, for example, low battery alert, and alert before the computer enters the hibernation status.
You must discharge the battery to let the computer power off, and then charge the battery to 100% to calibrate it. Then you can connect or disconnect the power supply anytime regardless of the status of the battery volume. Moreover, you can perform a deep charging and discharging cycle under control of the protection circuit in a time"

I purchase s10-3 netbook. i had problem with its battery which only runs 2 hours if it is fully charged. please assist!

How long have you been using the netbook? If it's brand new, then your battery life is too short. First of all, remember the following for ensuring that your battery performance is optimal:
1. A new battery pack must be fully charged before it is put into use.
2. A new battery pack needs to be fully charged and discharged a few times before it starts performing at full capacity.
3. Batteries discharge when left unused. If you intend to store the netbook for a while, make sure that the battery is fully charged before you do so.
4. Fully drain and fully recharge your batteries every few months.

If your netbook is new, then try one or more of the following and see how your battery performance gets affected: 1. Turn down the LCD brightness of your portable device.
2. Use built-in power management on your portable device.
3. Turn off LCD or other unnecessary accessories when not in use.
4. Set screen saver blank to 1 to 2 minutes of your netbook.
5.. Add more RAM if you can, as this will reduce the usage of the hard drive which exhausts the power quicker.

Hope this helps.

I have a 1996 chev k1500 4x4, i have replaced the battery, alternator, trucks starts fine until i plug in the block heater and it drains the battery

Install a new Block Heater

Electron Flow--is out off battery, thru body, frame, fluids, etc, and returns on all the wires.

So, I suspect the heater is bad, and your battery is discharging through the house neutral.

I input my charger into my phone and it says charging but the battery goes down. And wen I take the charger out, it says discharging.

It sounds like the memory of the battery may be faulty,
there are 2 possibilities
1. let the battery go flat completely/discharged and wait for a couple of hours and charge up again, this may help to reset the memory or
2. Change the battery, see if you can take your charger and phone to a store put the new battery in and charge and see if its really a problem with the battery if so then buy a new one,
good luck

Quick discharging of the Iphone 3gs battery

Yes its normal. To maintain the most power adjust your brightness bar down to 1/4 or 1/2. Keep the push mail function off when you don't need it. Don't recharge the battery until the unit shuts itself off. Then recharge the battery to max before using. This is called conditioning the battery, even though many say you don't need to on lithum ion batteries because there is no memory effect. But their full of sh.t, cause you do the first time you get the battery and should do it once a month to extend the life of the battery.

93 ranger not starting, wont turn over.

Take a volt meter and put the red probe of the meter on the engine block and the black probe on the battery Negative terminal. Have somone try to crank the car. If you get a reading of over 1/2 volt, you have a bad ground from the battery to the Engine block. Check the terminals on both ends of this wire.

If the above is OK, Put the volt meter on the battery terminals. (Red to Positive) and try cranking the car. If the voltage falls well below 9.6V your battery is bad. If 9.6 V or more, you may have somthing binding in the engine. When did this car run last?

Good Luck
