There is a c-clip on back of handle on a lot of vehicles. this is how I do it without a tool for this. take a clean rag put behind handle and work it back and forth. when it catches the clip it usually pops it off. or you can go to any auto parts store and buy a tool to remove handle clip.

There is a small horse shoe shaped clip around the inside of the crank handle. There is a special tool for removing the clip but if you can push the door panel in far enough you may be able to pop it off with two small screw drivers. For the trouble it takes I'd buy the special tool from an auto parts store since it's cheap.

Passenger side window won't roll up

You have to remove the door panel to get to the window crank assembly. The window has fallen off the pin the roller is on or a carrier bolt has come loose and let the window drop. You can hurt anything by removing the window crank and door handle then the panel to access the window crank assembly to see what went wrong.

My rear window shade is not working

You will need to remove the door panel in order to
prevent further damage to the electric window motor in
your door. Electric window motors are typically very
expensive so you should be careful not to damage it. You
should be able to easily remove the roller blinds once
the door panel is removed.

Rear passenger side window just fell down and won't go back up. is this possible?

Yes its possible, the roller has come out of the track You would have to remove the arm rest and panel screws off and remove the cover with the door open unsnap the clips on the door and let the door hang down use a flashlight to see the roller that's off track pick the glass up and slid into the glass guides and move the window up till you get the roller into the track, have the key on in case you need to raise the window up or down to get it to go into the track, if the roller is broke you can buy one at a junk yard, if the roller is ok then the stop pin may have fallen out and you will have to use a roll pin to keep the roller from coming out of the track. Hope this helps.

Manual Door Window Regulator
(see Figure 3)
  1. Raise the glass to the full up position and tape it to the door frame with fabric tape.
  2. Remove the door trim panel.
  3. Remove the regulator to door panel attaching bolts.
  4. Slide the regulator assembly rearward, disengaging the rollers from the sash panel.
A notch is provided in the sash panel to allow disengagement of the forward roller on the window regulator.
  1. Collapse and remove the regulator assembly through the access hole in the door.
To install:
  1. Prior to installation, lubricate the motor drive gear and regulator sector teeth.
  2. Collapse the regulator and insert it through the access hole in the door.
  3. Unfold the regulator and engage the forward roller to the sash cannel at sash channel notch.
  4. Slide the regulator rearward to engage the rear roller to the sash channel. Also engage the lower roller to the regulator rail.

  1. Raise the glass to the full up position and tape it to the door frame with fabric tape.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the door trim panel.
  4. Remove the remote control bolts and lay the control aside for access.

A notch is provided in the sash panel to allow disengagement of the forward roller on the window regulator.
  1. Remove the regulator assembly through the access hole in the door.
CAUTION Step 9 must be performed when the regulator is removed from the door. The regulator lift arms are under tension from the counterbalance spring and can cause serious injury if the motor is removed without locking the sector gear in position.
  1. Drill a hole through the regulator sector gear and back plate. DO NOT drill a hole closer than 1 /2 inch; to the edge of the sector gear or back plate. Install a pan head sheet metal tapping screw (No. 10-12× 3 /4 inch;) in the drilled hole to lock the sector gear in position.
  2. Remove the motor to regulator attaching screws and remove the motor from the regulator.
To install:
  1. Prior to installation, lubricate the motor drive gear and regulator sector teeth.
  2. Install the motor to the regulator. Make sure the motor and sector gear teeth mesh properly before installing the retaining screws.
  3. Remove the screw locking the sector gear in the fixed position.
  4. Reposition the motor in the door and install the wiring connector.
  5. Attach the regulator to the door.

I really hope help you with this (remember rated this help) Good luck.

Driver side window does not crank up straight

It sounds like the window may have slipped off it's guide rail or support rail. The window base connects to the motor via some bars that resemble a scissor lift.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Pull back the weather seal and you'll be able to get to everything

Side door Plastic rollers are worn out causing door to be hard to open or close. door has begun to fall off track.

I took the cheep way out. I got a used shower door roller mechanism. (the kind that slides in tracks.) I dremmeled out the plastic rollers and then shaved them down to the right size. then took off the door and poped them right onto where the old rollers were. Perfect fix with a bit of ingenuity. 50 cents and about one hour of work.

Need to change door speaker, cant get the door paneling off nor the manual window roller upper off.

Take a flat screwdriver or other similar flat tool, gently pry between the window handle and door panel, you should just be able to see the clip that holds it on to the metal shaft of the window gear, you'll need a pair of needle nose pliers or a flat screwdriver to pull it off,to put it back on you put it on the widow handle and just pop it on the metal shaft.Hope this helps.
