Upon Starting the washer it locks the door and starts, then The F1 Starts flashing and the washer stops. IF I stop it and start it really quick by the third try It will run through it's cycle. Help this has been an ongoing problem since I bought this machine. I am really frustrated with this.
Ok these are not the series 70, getting a model number off the door will reallllllly help. Some of these sound like the oasis. F1 is motor control or primary control failure and F 41 is a rps thermistor failure.

I have the EXACT same problem, I am so disappointed in my purchase! I do not recommend this product, and have not fixed it. I too, press stop and start 3 times and it works- Kenmore has really gone to the dogs over the years. Maytag next time.
I have the same problem. Bought washer and dryer set last year. Sometimes mid cycle on the dryer I get an error 41 cdoe too and it just stops drying. New brand next time! ARGH!
I have the Kenmore Elite Oasis also and recieved the F-1 code when it was not quite two years old. It cost almost $400 to fix it---control panel was faulty. Sears will not stand behind it, although based on what I'm reading on the internet, it's a very common problem. I am so disappointed in this machine and will never buy anything from Sears again.
My non-washer is a Kenmore Elite Oasis HE mod 110 27087604 type 580 ser cu0270410 with of course the F1 error, now raking in 5 or more errors before FINALLY starting the washing load, and again during rinse cycles...so frustrating. So much for trying to have something nice after losing everything during Hurricane Katrina....may give SEARS one more try this week-we'll see.
I have the exact same problem (F1)with my Kenmore Elite Oasis Canyon Capacity washer. I start/stop 3 times then it works. It's very frustrating. It also has a very loud sound when spinning.The repairman from Sears ($75 visit) was on the phone the entire visit. He finally said he would need to replace board and tub/with bearings for a total of $573.87 to fix a 2 year old $1,100 machine. Of course I sent him away still frustrated with Sears not standing behind their product. And to think I was actually going to buy a matching dyer soon. No way!
I have been having the same F1 code error problem since I purchase my washer and dryer set over 2 years ago. This is now the 4th time I am having them come out and fix it. How do I go about getting them to replace my washer? or will they do that? I am really getting tired of not being able to wash clothes for 2-3 weeks while I am waiting for a part to come in. I paid a lot of money for the set and was so excited to get a black washer and dryer set to match the rest of my applien. in my home, now I am just frustrated but I can not afford to buy a brand new set right now or even in the near future. Once I get a F1 code on my machine it won't go through the cycle at all.

I am having the same problen F1 beeps till I push stop/start then it will go this happens 4 times until it will start washing . Again at 17 seconds beeps two more times so I have to push stop/start . So unhappy with product
I have the same problem with saved error codes of 51 and 68. The diagnostic guide says that this is a "primary control failure. Replace the machine/motor control assembly."
