Sking the off board charger is a 5 inch by 3 inch rectangular box with a power plug on one end and a round silver 3 prong plug on the other. The charger plugs into the charger port located under the front of the joystick. Plug the charger plug into the joystick and then into the wall socket. When it is fully charged the light on the chrager will turn from yellow to green. Unplug the power from the wall socket first then unplug from the joystick In ither words always have the charger unplugged when you plug the charger up to the chair Now if the chair has an onboard charger there should be a power cord that just plugs into the chair usually somewhere in the rear of the chair all you have to do is plug it into a wall socket and charge away Hope this helps you

How do we charge this chair?

off board chargers plug into the front of the joystick. after 10-12 hrs the chair should be charged, Unless the batteries are bad, or the charger is bad. Plug into joystick before power cord into wall outlet. also charge every night!

My merits power chair is two years old but never been used. it wont charge though the charger light is flashing on and off, do i need new batteries? how long do it takes to charged

Batteries don't like just sitting around, they like to cycle that is discharge and charge. Yes you most likely need new batteries. Long slow charging is best for batteries, I would give them 8 to 12hrs.

Merits wheelchair 2 center flashing lights when turned on

Flash Code 2 indicates that the voltage is too high or too low. Check batteries and cable connections. Charge the batteries. If this fault occurs during battery charging, the charger is defective or not adjusted correctly. Empty batteries will charge. Dead batteries will not normally charge.

Help me with a merit 4.2 no book,

Turn chair and lights off when charging. The charger and chair will indicate with lights when charge is complete. All lights in full green and display showing full means you are done charging.

HOW DO I CHARGE A MERITS DMA SCOOTER?

With the battery charger lol I don't know if your scooter has the battery pack or not but if it does there should be a charger port located on the battery pack just plug the charger into the port and let it charge overnight. If it doesn't have the battery pack then there should be a port located on the tiller usually under the throttle levers Hope this helps

It not charging fully

Stan Issue is probably batteries. If you are charging overnite and never get a full charge then I would suspect batteries. If you have a voltmeter set it to 200 vdc and plug the leads into the two outer holes of the charger port located under the front of the joystick. When fully charged you should read 25-27 volts. If you are reading a lower voltage then I would check the charger. you will have to read the voltage at the battery posts with the charger plugged into the charger port You should read 27-30 volts. If you are not getting that reading replace the charger. Try borrowing a charger from someone that also has a chair If it charges the batteries then you need a new charger if it doesn't then you need new batteries Hope this helps

The first battery light keeps flashing when I turn on the control. I believe it is locked, but I have no idea how to get it unlocked. It is a Merits MP1 electric folding wheelchair.

If you are getting just the red light blinking then the batteries are low and not fully charged. If you have been charging and are still getting just the one blinking light then either your charger is not working or you have bad batteries. Hope this helps
