On a shop bought blanket this stitch would be done by a special purpose industrial machine that sews this wide stitch. If you catch it, it will unravel as one thread. Domestic am won't replicate this, can be done by hand with needle and wool.

I found that the blanket stitch is also called a "whip stitch" or a "crochet stitch" and looks like this:
I tried to look for instructions or a manual on the web for your machine, but there's little to find. I did find a picture of the stitch selector - and it looked to me that the RED "D" or "F" :
was as close as that machine was going to get to it. I'm not a sewing machine person - so that may not be correct.
