This is similar to my problem I think,? The Dell logo keeps coming up on screen and a white status bar below completes, screen goes blank and then Dell logo comes up again and the whole process repeats.
what does "first try loading default value in your bios" mean?

Immediately after seeing the Dell logo, keep tapping the 'F8' key,
until you see a "menu" (white text over a black background)
giving "startup" options for Windows XP.
Select "Safe Mode" and see if you can start in that mode.
Then, use "System Restore" to go "back" in time, to the most-recent checkpoint (date/time) where your computer _DID_ work.
After the logo flashes, press F8, repeatedly, until a white-over-black "boot menu" is displayed. Choose "Safe Mode", to see if this "minimal" version of Windows will startup successfully.

When you first turn on the laptop and see the Acer logo screen, hold the ALT key and press the F10 key (you need to do this before the Acer logo disappears). if there is a window showing in the taskbar blank
Hi,
No this should hopefully not come back It can be due to lots of different reasons.
Please make sure to press the option on Fixya that shows that I solved this for you! Appreciate it! :)
Thanks!
You should be able to plug in an external (Desktop type) monitor . Look for a connector on the side or back of the laptop. If the external monitor works, you have pretty much diagnosed that you have a LCD problem. Ron-
