This uses a balanced line output requiring the receiving device have a balanced input OR you would have to use a DI or BALUN to convert to unbalanced for devices without a balanced input.

If the receiving device has an XLR input then it will be ballanced and using an XLR to XLR cable should work.

You did not mention what you were trying to drive so I can't help much more than what I have said.

did you feed the instruments thru a mixer?. This is a $25.00 item and is only repairable under warranty. Call whomever you bought this from

We use a Samsom MDR 1688 for a conference venue. Usually we record our conferences and broadcast them. However, it seems to be problem getting the sound from the mixer into the computer we use for...

The AUX output is your best bet as it is independent of the main mix, so the main volume control won't affect the recording. You will need to turn up the AUX control for each channel you wish to record, and also make sure that the AUX master is up. Depending on the software/ hardware you are using to record, you should be able to set the main record level using the AUX master. Start by setting all the AUX controls to 12 o'clock and adjust from there.

When I listen to my amp with headphones the sound seems to come and go.

I have a 250 gfx, and I have had the same problem intermittently, I have concluded that the digital fx section is to blame, as it is also responsible for the speaker modelling for the line/headphone jack, and I have also had problems with my fx section.
If you have anything in the effects loop that boosts signal volume remove it, a small boost in the loop gives the power amp in these a nice glassy sound, but seems to be (in my case at least) responsible for the failure of the fx/ emulated line out.
Also check all your leads and headphones cord, try some different headphones if you have them.

I suspect the power cord or it's connector is fasulty. That wouldbe the easyiest fix.Past that, it would need to go to an authourized Line 6 repairman.

Line 6 Spider III 15W- My Bass and Drive knobs arnt working... my mid and treble seems to be fine plus all my channels and effects but just those two knobs...and its buggin the **** out of me.... any...

resolder the three legs of the pots back down to the pcb. usually the treble feeds the bass, then from bass to mid then to ground. so if treble and mid are working its hard to imagine why the bass wouldnt be working. i would try to resolder, as you might have cold solder joints. keep it unplugged, pull off the knobs, open it up, remove the pcb screws and pull/flip out the pcb and resolder all of the pots.

A 16/4 channel Mackie VLZ bought new 1997 hardly used. Some times a channel goes quiet, sometimes the fault moves to another channel, or while setting a channel input signal the knob seems to work till...

I suspect you MAY have a severe ground loop. The green light indicates channel crossover if nothing plugged in.

MAKE SURE ALL connected equipment is powered from the SAME receptacle. If you service amps from receptacles at one end of the room and this board from the other end, you are ASKING for trouble.

Read up on "common mode" as it pertains to balanced lines. Equipment can be at risk if grounds "bounce" as they often do.

When green light with no inout shows up, slide all faders down first. Then unplug input lines one at a time... turn off the amps and then unplug the output lines one at a time. See if one of these inout or output lines was causing the green light.

You should be using BALANCED lines to your amps... either XLR or TRS types at both ends.

Line 6 Spyder 112 got plugged into 220v now just smokes.

The power supply is bad. The transformer more than likely survived however some fuses and possibly filter caps could have been blown. Also some of the regulatory circuitry for switching or digital lines could have been damaged. This being said you should be able to get the amp working again without any problems.

I have a broken Master volume peg.

Most do pull off the plastic part of the knob that is, then behind that is a nut that is holding the actual pot.
