I need a manual

I just moved into a home that has a 5 element Gallery series range. Bridge on the left. White. Electric. Glass top. Convection option oven. I don't have the model number but would like a manual-none at the home.

The model number should be posted on a nameplate near the oven door opening and/or lower drawer opening (if equipped). Sometimes the model number is located along the back of the operator console. You will need this model number in order to ensure you are getting the correct manual as all appliances are not the same with operation and features. Go to geappliances.com and click on the "Service and Support" link. On the next page is a heading for "Use and Care Manuals". Click on the link, type in your model number, and there should be a manual available for you to download in .pdf format (Adobe). I hope this helps you.

What kind of cookware is recommended for glass top stoves

Glass ones work best, but any heavy metal will also work. Heavy gauge not heavy weight. The lighter metal tends to bend and warp after a lot of use. If the bottom of the pans are not absolutely flat, these stoves will not heat the pan very well, which is why the glass cookware is the best to use, since it will not warp.

Gallery series Frigidaire gas oven not heating up correctly

Hello Hilda, thank you for your post!
There could be a number of
any one of several underlying causes in why the oven is experiencing this
particular issue:
·Convection
heating element
·Thermal cutout
·Thermal oven
sensor
·EOC
(electronic oven control)
·Ignitor,
·Bake or broil
element
·All wired
connections
·Lastly the oven cavity and insulation should be checked to ensure there are no gaps or damages that will leak out the heat.

The parts above will need to be assessed for further evaluation by a technician since it is always a good idea to get the appropriate diagnosis prior to making any unnecessary part replacements.

The inside glass panel, in the oven, has a hairline crack. Is the oven still usable?

Hello ewaters56 - Honestly, I suggest contacting a professional to have the inner glass panel replaced and I do not recommend for the oven to be used.

My electric oven stoppd working. the top of the stove works

The first thing to do is unplug the unit remove the rear panel of the range and check the wires and mkae sure they are in good condition,If you have a volt meter remove the wire if in good shape and check the continuity on the element it self. if there is continuity and there are no visable burn marks or breaks in the element then you you will need to replace the main electronic control/clock timer.

I hoep this hepls and your problems is fixed quickly.

The control panel lights do not work nor does the oven. all the burners work fine this is a convection oven with a smooth top Gallery series

Check your main breaker in the fuse panel, it may be partially tripped. Turn the 40 amp breaker off and back on. if the display does not return to the stove, the I would suggest you contact a local servicer.

Slow to heat on convection mode, bottom element not get as hot as

Check to see that the convection element is heating. If not, ohm it out, either the element is bad or it is not getting power from the control.

I came home and one or more of the electric stove top elements were on even though the knobs indicate that they are off. Model# FEFL78CQC Serial# VF40905445 What do you think? I unplugged it and took of...

are the plastic knobs wore out,or been rmoved? They may have not been putback on in te correct position, which would leave them on when they tellyou that they are off. otherwise, look for a short in the wiing leading from the knobs to the affected burners. sometimes the wires under there melt ad cause shorts. remove the burners and then lift up the top of the stove to gain access.

Top element wont heat wen oven is on bake

The top element normally operates only when you turn the temperature control all the up to the broil setting as it is the broiling element. If it doesn't work at the broil setting, suspect a bad brioler element or a faulty temperature control.
