Check very carefully for any debris left in the printer from the jam. There are photo sensores embedded in the printer that will display an error if obscurred by paper.

Orange flashing 3 times

This is a paper jam error. check for any paper jammed in the printer, switch it off and open all trays, sheet feeders, duplex unit to check for any paper. if paper was jammed previously and was torn, there might be a piece of paper still stuck in it.

hope this helps!

Printer doesn't send paper all the way says paper jam, rollers are moving doesn't print

Possibly the sheet detector sensor, that had become bent out of true alignment, which is telling the printer that there are a number of sheets going through and indicating a jam situation. You need to inspect the guide roller, make sure it is free to move and touches the sheet of paper when it is loaded. If it is bent out of alignment, GENTLY try to bend it back downwards (make sure the paper thickness setting is set to paper not to card when doing so,)

A paper jam which I cannot see or access in my PIXMA MP630

With no other information forthcoming I turn the power off, took the paper tray out & turned the printer upside down. I could finally see some paper hidden there and gently with tweezers manipulated it back the way it went in and solved the problem Not so technical but it worked! Thanks for your help.

My pixma mp630 had a paper jam which I fixed. Now

The error is the APP position error. Uusually caused by foreign object in feed system or Auto sheet feeder. Check for bits of paper in the feed system.

Paper jam error in the output does not allow printing

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this, is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

Canon PIXMA ip4000/paper jammed problem

Tackler- I dont think I have a solution but I know that the cassette should stick out about 5cm i.e. the cover just fits on nicely. I found with mine sometimes it needed a firm (but not hard) push in as obviously some sensor was not being tripped and it would just not pick up the paper in the tray. Have you tried using the top down feed? At least if that works you can print (and you can stack up a couple of pages).

Pixma ip5000

I had identical prob with a PIXMA IP4000. Eventually solved by turning upside down removing bottom feeder tray and gaining access to the four rubber rollers which pick up the paper. I rubbed each one with light sandpaper to roughen up the rubber, turning each one by hand trying to try to abrade all the surface. It did the trick.
