How can I stop displaying the photo information on the view finder?

I can not remove the information display on my new d3300 nikon

Ignore that for now. Look through the View Finder and see if you can take a photo? The Display is not used to take photos UNLESS you are in LIVE VIEW MODE. You may not be used to this you may think it is a CoolPix but it is a DSLR. In most cases the Display is used to change settings. After you take a phto use the REPLAY button... Does the display show your photo?

No picture on screen when switched on

You have not given enough information. Are you trying to see
recorded photos or expecting to see the image from the lens?
You normally have an option to either use the view finder OR the
LCD display. It usually defaults to the view finder and you must activate the LCD with a button.

There is a line appearing from the center of the view finder till the end. This comes on only when the camera is switched on

if the line came in photos when you seen them from PC then its a Camera CCD fault, Or If the photo clear in PC view then its a LCD fault.

My Canon G9 display screen has stopped working. It can view an image but does not work as a view finder!

Press the "DISPLAY" button until you get the display you wish. You can choose the information you want overlayed on the image in the custom display settings, see pages 55 onwards in your user manual.

For some reason the photo information now shows on the display when I take a photo which prevents me viewing the shot. How can I stop that information showing??

Press up/down on the multiselector repeatedly to cycle through the different views available.

You probably turned the dioptri-adjust button, next to viewfinder, by mistake. Turn it back until the viewfinder is sharp.

Please take a look at the symptoms listed here, and see if it's what you're experiencing.

Sony had a certain issue with the CCD chip on this camera. If it's this issue, they'll fix it free plus $20 until March 2010.

Maybe the display was turned OFF. Check it and turn it ON. If still in problems, look for a specialized service to check you camera.

Fuji FinePix F710 photos blacked out

hi

i think the settings on the exposure or apparture have been modified

reset the camera to factory defaults once to check this and you can have the photos back in order

CCD FAILURE !

Call NIKON for FREE REPAIRS it is a known issue ask them about BAD CCD

In the viewfinder? The viewfinder will always display things like the f/stop and the shutter speed while you're preparing to take a picture. This cannot be turned off.

If you mean on the monitor on the back when reviewing your photos, simply press up/down on the multiselector to cycle through the different views of your photos.
