Bosch WFVC3300 Washer Logo
Anonymous Posted on Jan 05, 2011

Hi, Just last week, I got a E27 error code on my washer. Since it is the second time it's happened, I knew it had to do with the door lock. The Sears repairman came today, replaced the lock but the code still displays. Now, he's ordered a whole new motherboard, but is still unsure that it will solve the problem. He's admitted not knowing Bosch washers really well... Last summer, Sears had to replace my brand new Bosch washer because of a similar problem. Any ideas on what the problem could be? Is it a known problem that Bosch washers break that easily after just a few months of regular use?

My wife and I both hate the laundry process. As a very characteristic, I purchased 2 Bosch 500 and 2 steam dryers. Initially she told me I had only doubled the pain until about 12 month in. One of our washers was giving us the e27 error, we were totally beside ourselves- only one washer with the same 3 boys and one prepubescent daughter. We looked for a fix all over and found this. Sure enough it works set the button to cotton - cold took us 5 minutes of beeping and then it reset. Amazing!!! Thank you. We will now go on to our ever so spoiled life. FYI if u have a big family 2 washers and 2 dryers is money well spent

I just had the same exact problem. Did your repairman ever figure it out?

I had the same problem. Did your repairman figure it out?

  • Anonymous Jan 14, 2011

The repairman did not get a chance to come back, because in between both visits, I contacted my Sears salesman, who talked to someone at Bosch and offered me the secret quick-fix: set your washer to Cotton-Cold, ignore the error signal and leave it for a few minutes (between 5 and 20 should do the trick). This apparently acts as some kind of reset for the error code. It worked for me! I have been happily doing washes for a week now! Hope this helps you too.

It worked! Thank you so much. I had bought a new switch and it did not remove the error code. Who would have thought something as simple as that would reset it. Thank you again

Front load washer Bosch Vision 300/500/DLX will not drain getting a code of E27 can you help. Can't find the code # in the booklet that came with it.

A code E27 means a problem with the door lock. Try unpluging the machine for an hour and see if it resets the lock.

If not remove the cover on the lower right corner you will see a white plastic pull cord. Pull the cord and pull open the door. If that doesn't reset the door lock you will need to replace the lock.

My wife hit pause during the wash cycle to remove BBs from my sons pocket. She opened the door removed the BBs closed the door and hit Play/Start when she got the error E27. I have unplugged the unit for...

  1. Hold down the "Allergy rinse" button, "Spin Selection" button at the same time.
  2. Turn the Wash selection knob to the left on "Cold". Result: You should see different codes flashing on screen, this is resetting the machine's error, and is exactly what we want.
  3. After a few seconds turn Wash selection knob to "Off".
  4. Turn machine back on.
Result: Your mashine should work

Error message E27 appears and washer won't operate.

E27 means there is a problem with the door lock. Unplug the machine for 5 minutes and try again. If the error code returns you will need to replace the door lock assembly.

E-27 blinking

The E27 code isn't often listed in Bosch manuals but relates to the washer door lock.

The E27 error flashes on the washer LCD screen and stops the current load. Unplug your washer for 30 minutes and then plug it back in to reset the code.

Open and close the door two or three times to reset the sensor. Sometimes the door has been closed too hard and the sensor reading fails.

You may need to replace the door lock assembly on the washer.

E27 and e95 code

I had this problem. I tried to interupt a cycle just after it started and then couldn't start the cycle again, with the E27 code coming up.

e27 refers to a problem with the door locking mechanism which could be due to a number of causes. The problem I had was with the solenoid in the door, not a genuine problem with the door latch mechanism.

Here is how I fixed it:

(1) Set knob to off

(2) Hold down spin selector and Allergy rinse buttons and turn the knob to the LEFT (right does not work)

(3) The display then shows a number of program codes P01 to P14. (Pressing spin selector rotates through the codes).

(4) Press spin selector until you reach P02 on the display, then press the start button, the door will click and the machine will begin a cycle.

(5) Turn the knob to OFF, and then you should be able to use the machine as normal.

Bosch 500 series front load washer less than 6 months old. Getting code E27 when turning it on... suggestions before I call service?

E27 means there is a problem with the door lock.

Unplug the machine for 30 minutes and try again. If the error code returns you will need to replace the door lock assembly. Open and close the door two or three times to reset the sensor. Sometimes the door has been closed too hard and the sensor reading fails.

Replace the door lock assembly on the washer. Refer to your washer manual for the correct part numbers.

Check to see if your Bosch washer is still covered under warranty. If so, you could receive free replacement parts and service for the faulty door locks.

Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this answerr).

Clean out the filter that hides behind the lower right hand panel on the front of the machine, below the door. The manual, if, you have it, shows how.
