My computer doesn't recognize my Omega hardware. Consequently, I can't monitor through the interface. The last time I used it was around six months ago, and it was working fine. Any suggestions would certainly be helpful. I'm using a Lenovo laptop. Thanks, Tim Blake

My Verbatim Sto N Go 8GB USB Flash Drive does not work in any port, in any computer. When I plug it in, the "Device is not recognized" error comes up. When I click on it, and the Unknown Device Properties comes up, the device status reads: "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer."

This is the 2nd drive of this same brand that quit working within 6 months. I have MONTHS of work on files in this drive, and would hate to have to redo all that work! I was real careful after the first one went bad to use the eject button when removing it from my computer. But I am thinking the last time I clicked the eject button, it froze, so I just pulled it out without the message coming up. Hopefully there is someway to get the computer to recognize this drive again???

It usually means that the printer is off, not connected to your computer or your computer does not recognize it. If your computer doesn't recognize your printer, go to control panel and click on add new hardware, then follow the directions . After trying all the above try using your printer once again.

Time to start using a card reader.

Get a new card.

Sounds like its the motherboard that is failing.

Since it's only 9 months old it should still be under warranty.

This computer will need to be taken in for service and the motherboard replaced.

I devised these simple steps that tend to remedy quite a few issues with most USB portable / external hard drives and devices (though not always)

A few things to check but assumes USB and Windows for other interfaces / operating systems similar steps may be adapted to suit.

1. Ensure it is connected directly to the computer to a USB 2.0 port not a USB 1.0 port as this can have effects on performance and reliability

2. Use only the cables that came with it NOT one that fits that may have been lying around or is longer. Not all USB cables are equal even though they should be)

3. Do not connect through an external USB HUB unless that hub is USB 2.0 AND has its own power supply.

4. Use ONLY the power supply that came with it if it has an external power supply Don’t use any other unless you know it has both the same voltage and current rating e.g. 12V 500mA anything rated below that would not work properly.

5. Always use the same port for connecting your devices. Some devices do not like being switched about. If switched they may want to install software / drivers again. This can be especialy true if you move a HUB to another port

If you checked and fixed anything there and still have issues then check your hardware from CONTROL PANEL / SYSTEM / HARDWARE.
Any exclamation marks by hardware need fixing before you investigate any further

Camera will not charge through USB interface, only DC input jack or camera dock.

To be honest with you since their bios is proprietary I think it is time to update to a newer system , sorry thats the best I can come up with.
