SOURCE: Installing HP4795 printers in Windows XP. During

Hi,

Click on the link below to download the Printer Drivers and later install them.
Download Link

After you download the file, run the file to start installation and complete the installation.
Disconnect the Printer cable before the installation starts and connect it when asked to.
If for any reasons, it does not recognize the printer connected, complete the installation by clicking on the option ( I will connect the printer later ) and complete the installation.
Then Click on the Diagnostic download option below to run the diagnostic tool to diagnose the issue.

HP Print Diagnostic Tool

My Suggestion would be to completely uninstall the software and reinstall it using the Download Drivers option above in this solution.

Thank you for contacting FixYa

Regards,
Ron

Epson Stylus CX6000 prints but won't scan in Vista. Works in XP

Sometimes the newer print drivers don't do everything the older ones do. make sure you have a Vista print driver, and that the Vista print driver has that function (my HP Vista driver wouldn't scan for about the first year until HP finally updated the driver) Make sure you have the latest release of the vista print driver. if the problem is the vista print driver, sometimes you can get lucky by running/installing an XP driver on a Vista machine, in XP compatibility mode (right click, compatibility)

Dymo Labelwriter 450 Turbo won't print on Windows XP Pro system. Installed drivers & software from CD provided (Ver 8.0) Looks like it installed cleanly, but noticed that the printer didn't acknowledge...

Uninstall the driver, remove any trace of the install from the system (as much as is possible). Whent his gets messed up it's really hard to get working on that machine again under XP. Aquire the printer through add printer and detect not the software on the CD, install the driver using the inf file on the Cd. Now reinstall the printer software using USB or serial as an option, when prompted select custom install and no driver. If you have it setup on another machine this also works, but acquire the printer through network neighborhood instead of using add/remove programs.

I don't have the correct driver for Vista, using printer to print technical drawings

When the drivers are not available, you can install VMware virtual machine and be able to use windows xp and xp drivers to run your print jobs. The basic VMware is a free download and works well on my Vista machine.

Two Minolta 2300DL windows 7 64-bit solutions(choose oneoption): 1) Download the XP 64-bit driver and extract to a folder: ftp://ftp.minolta-qms.com/pub/crc/out_going/windows/2300d_64b.exe then Control Panel>Devices and Printers>Add aprinter> Add a local printer>choose USB printer port>select the "HaveDisk" button(do not select a printer) and browse navigate to where you savedthe XP 64-bit driver "MLUU_DRV.inf" driver file which installs and worksfine. Only issue is now have a 3 minutewait delay for each print job using the universal driver compared to no delaywhen printing with XP. OR 2) Follow the Vista USB port(not network) install guide butstill use the XP 64-bit driver. ftp://ftp.minolta-qms.com/pub/crc/out_going/manuals/misc/km_vista_instruct.pdf 3) 32-bit option use the Vista 32-bit driver first as thatshould work.

Vista cannot connect to xp printer

It sounds like your are using your Windows XP computer as the print server, and you are trying to connect your Windows Vista machine to the Windows XP print server. Your Vista machine is trying to download the XP drivers from the Windows XP computer to your Vista machine. This won't work. Windows XP and Vista print drivers are not compatible.

If the printer is truely networked (it has it's own IP address on the network, it has its own ethernet connection). Then instead of trying to map out to this shared printer, add new printer to the Vista machine using Vista drivers for the HP Deskjet 3940. The type of port you would need is a standard TCP/IP port. To get this address, print a settings page from the printer. Look for either a TCP/IP address or IP address on this print out. This is the port address you want to create and then connect to.

Sharing srp350 network printer on win98 to winxp

You are correct with the conflict, although, it's a difference in drivers, i think what has happened is when you share a printer with xp, it installs the driver from the pc with the driver and printer attached, and as it is attached to a win98 pc, the full functions are probably unavailable, unlike an xp local driver.
