I just got a Vizio 320VL two weeks ago and I was trying to program my oceanic cable box then I turned the TV back on and it goes on and flashes the VIZIO on screen then it goes out. Can you tell me how to fix this?

I purchased this tv yesterday and have noticed that the power cord is loose where it plugs into the tv. If I move the tv slightly I lose power.Try checking the plug.

Sound but no picture

this happened to me about a week ago. It was my cable box. If you have a cable box, unplug it from the electrical socket Wait about 30 seconds and plug it back in. give the box time to gather all info and then retry the tv.

My Vizio GV42L is fading to a dull whitish color after 2-3 minutes. I can still see the TV program I am on but the screen just goes to a dull whitish color. No boxes or anything popping up. Basical

Either its back light inverter board, or, the LVDS cable has the fault. First try by re-seat the LVDS cable, and check. Thus you can make sure about the fault. If you wish to get more details, check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic /Timeslide, can be selected by the drop-down list, by the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name / model number / IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.

My 86yr old mother-in-law has a Vizio 320VL and the coax attachment just fell out - TV only 18 months old. TV has just sat there, not pulled or tugged on. Is there anything else t do besides buy a new...

It is repairable but at least consider there is a faster solution--if you have cable or sat for signal the set has rear connections other than the coax fitting that a cable or sat box will hook up to....there are ways to get around the cable fitting that is broken.

There are lots of problems. The best thing to do is have it replaced completely while under warranty.

My Vizio VX42L is flashing like a strobe light.

Mine did the same thing. Remove the stand and back of the tv. Be careful with screen do not lay on hard surface and scratch. When you take the back off you will see a board on the left side and a board on the right side. They are labeled slave and master. Remove the ribbon cables and take board out. There are 2 capacitors on each board (about an inch long). These are probably all bad (ends bulged a little with black stuff on bulged end). Radio shack has them for less than $2.00 each. turn the board over and you can read the size of the capacitor. You need someone who can use solder wick and remove all four capacitors and solder in new ones. Notice how the capacitors are turned. Each one is labeled with a dash for negative. Make sure you bend new capacitor connectors the same and put back in the same way. Put the boards back in the tv and attach all ribbon cables. Put back and stand on. hook up your power and cable box and you are ready to watch tv with no more strobe. Me, my husband, and son did ours last week. I looked up the problem on the internet, husband removed stand & back, son with the steady hand did the soldering. Family project that went well for once.

Hum from tv

try unplugging any equipment that you have attached to the tv one at a time, such as dvd players, surround sound, cable box, etc. also if you have a cable box attached, try adjusting the volume on it. if you have everything unplugged from tv and it still hums, then it may be a tv issue
