How do you set up Netflix on TV? Connect your Internet-ready television either with an Ethernet cable or wirelessly to your router. Follow the steps on the television to connect it wirelessly. 2. Select theNetflix Apply from the menu on the television screen.
Yes, the TV itself does have a Netflix app built-in. Is the TV currently connected to the internet? If not you might have to hardwire it using an ethernet cable or hook up a wireless bridge. See page 13: https://docs.sony.com/release/KDL40Z5100.pdf
One trick is to use a wi-fi range extender/wi-fi booster with ethernet port.
you sound a little confused, netflix is a streaming service which requires a internet connection most people use a wireless internet connection, a wired connection would work better, netflix can be used on pc or a roku box and even some tablets. silverlight is a browser plug in for a pc. netflix basically streams movies and tv shows using a internet connection.
To watch Netflix you need a (Netflix subscription of course) and a Smart TV with the Netflix app running or if you have an older TV you will need a streaming device like Amazon Fire TV http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GDQ0RMG?ref_=ods_gw_d_h1_tv_montoya_dualUR
which plugs into your HDMI port to access Netflix via a wireless internet connection. The setup is pretty easy. Hope this is helpful.
Your internet is too slow. If the component is wireless, consider wiring the internet cable to it. If this is a tv cable issue then maybe you have too many splitters and bad connections. Never use any more than 2 splitters in a row.
For what it is worth, I fhave found streaming video does not function well using a wireless connection. The options of multipale routers will work as long as you configure them as to not have conflicting IP address assignment's via DHCP, and the routers do not have matching IP address's. Never fear all is possible with paticence. BPCS
