Sundance will not take a charge. Breaker is good, front 5 amp fuse is good. All connections are good. Batteries are new. Can also drive away while charge plug is in wall socket. I understand there is a second fuse to be checked. Where is it's location. Thank you for your assistance. Gary

On the older sidekick(sundancer) there is an ATO fuse in a rubber boot under the pyramid shaped cover to the rear electronics console that runs to the meter on the pyramid. The newer sundancers have no rear fuse at the electronics tray for the charger. You more likely have a bad charger which is causing an inhibit condition. Usually the scooter will drive away with the charger plugged in until the capacitor drains (1 minute). By unplugging the charger you can get the scooter to run. Check the fuse and the meter connections, then replace the charger with the newer Maximizer style charger with the harness adapter kit.

Parallax 4455 may not be charging my batteries. How do I test it?

connect a multi meter across the battery terminals and set on volts dc there should be 14.5 volts across the posts when the charger is on check for the dc notice on the dial as if the rectifiers in the charger have failed , you will get an ac voltage and that will not charge a battery

Pride Victory 10 3 wheel , batteries fully charged power in and out of circuit breaker no power at controls nothing works all fuses are good no power there ?

If you have no power at the console but your batteries are good, check the connections of front to rear harness between the front/rear frame. If that connection is good, there may be a serious issue going on. For an authorized service technician in your area; please contact Pride Mobility.

Bad connections on the battery posts is most likely. If the circuit breaker was bad you'd get nothing at the battery . The charger voltage is 29 volts when not connected to the batteries. 26 or more when connected and on.

When I plug the battery in for charging, the charge light does not come on. only the power light on the charger

There are several solutions to this problem which I have seen twice in my technical career.
You indicated that the power light on the charger comes on which indicates it is plugged into a working AC wall outlet. Check to make sure the power switch of the charger is turned on. Make sure that the round charger plug is plugged all the way into the battery charger receptacle on the battery box.
Next, check the on-board fuse AND the circuit breaker. I have had this little 5 Amp automotive style fuse burn out on several go go's and the charger does not work. Pull back the cover over the charger port and look for the fuse in its center slot. With a good set of fingernails it can be pulled straight out and inspected. Use fine needle nose pliers if necessary. I am assuming the go go runs and the push-button for the 15 Amp circuit breaker is pushed in. If it is out and the go go is not running reset the breaker by pushing the white button in. There is a clear rubber boot over the button. In my experience, the 5 amp auto fuse is your most likely problem. By holding it up to the light you can see if the fuse wire inside is burnt causing an open circuit. Most auto and hardware stores have this fuse in stock. Bring the old one to the store for comparison. It is a 5 Amp ATO fuse.
The question my clients often ask is what caused the charger circuit to overheat and the fuse to blow? The simple answer is that the two 12 Amp hour batteries in the go go are probably old and weak. This causes the charger to work too hard and the circuit to overheat and the fuse to blow. These small batteries have a short life span of between 6 months and 1 year depending on type. I recommend the AGM (advanced glass mat) batteries for longevity. Also make sure the charger being used on the chair is the 2 Amp small charger that came with the chair (There is a label on the charger to verify this). A larger charger will burn the batteries(shortening their life) and burn out the 5 Amp on-board fuse. Hope this helps.

Mike since you know that the charger is not working you have two options purchase a new on-board charger or try to locate a good off-board charger from the area. A friend that has an extra charger or from a local provider that sells chairs. The off-board charger will plug into the charger port under the front of the joystick and will charge the batteries just as well. Just don't use the on-board charger but leave it in the chair. Hope this helps

Just purchased it used. Both battries show

If the horn won't work, the batteries are dead. If the charger is showing green lights, most likely the gel inside the batteries has gone solid from the chair being stored for a while. Replace both batteries with type U1, 24v, 33 amps and see if that will clear the problem. The fuses are regular automotive type fuses.
