TRIED TO BURN A CD WITH ANOTHER LAPTOP. MINE WONT READ THE PICTURE FILE, BUT WILL READ ANOTHER TYPE FILE. THE LAPTOP WE USED PUT THE FILES ON THE DISK. WE READ IT WITH ANOTHER COMPUTER. I ALSO HAVE MORE PICTURE FILES MADE WITH A DIFFERENT COMPUTER AND MINE WILL READ THOOSE JUST FINE

hi, i had the same problem with my 2001 ford focus. i found that the problem was the cds i was using were newer and used mp3 files. older starios can not read theses files and will think theres a problem with the cd and spit it out. my soulstion was geting a new deck for my car that could read mp3 files. the other opstion is to re-burn with the older music file type.

Burning an image file (ISO) means that you will burn and finalize the disc. The ISO file includes a "boot sector". This will create a disc that can be used as a boot CD. Make sure that the ISO is <700 MB if you burn to CD; if it is larger, use a DVD or DVD DL. Some image files may have an IMG file type (this was the file type for bootable floppies). Unless the file is an ISO or IMG, the burn image function will not work. You will need to use another program to make an image file first. You may need to use a bootable disc to get the information for the boot sector.

Burning a CD creates a data CD which may or may not be finalized, depending on your settings.

On a CD-R, if you don't finalize or write protect the disk, can you overwrite a file?

Or in overwriting are you simply creating a second file of the same name in the TOC/directory and deleting the name, only, of the first file

You can add more data if there is space on the DVD+R, but you can't overwrite it.

You see, when a disc is burned, little microscopic ridges are put onto the disc. This is your data.

You cannot overwrite this data.

It's kind of like trying to use a permanent marker on the same spot of paper twice.

You need a burning software to burn your picture files, music, or video.
You can use NERO Burning ROM. Download it from HERE. You can use the "Data Burning" Feature in it to transfer your files into CD or DVD.

1. Check your computer to see that it has a CD or DVD drive that is capable of burning CDs. This drive may be built into your computer or an external drive. Either type should work equally well.

reason fro this could be bad media (disc) or the file that you are trying to copy is truncated. heres how to test which one ha a problem. try using another blank cd. if same thing happens then there is a problem with the file that you are trying to burn. now, burn a different file to a blank cd and check if you can successfully burn that file.

Some CD burners are either "+" or "-" or both "+ -".

That said you will have to check what type of burner you have. Example, you cannot stick a "+" blank cd into a "-" burner, and visa versa.

However, if your cd burner can read and burn both types, you should be okay.

Problem: .Wav files downloaded to PC computer from the DW-90, VN Series, and DSS Files
created with DS Series recorders cannot be copied to a rewritable CD-ROM using Windows
Media Player to create an audio CD-ROM.
Explanation: These digital voice recorders create .wav files at 8kHZ, 12kHZ, or 22kHz
depending on the Quality setting. Digital Wave player software is used to download Wav files to
a PC computer from the DW or VN Series of recorders. DSS Player is used to download DSS
files from the DS Series recorders and convert them to Wav files. If Windows Media Player is
then used to copy the files to a rewritable CD-ROM to create an audio CD-ROM, the files will
not copy properly or an error message may appear. Windows Media Player can only create an
audio CD-ROM if the .wav file is 44.1kHZ, 16 bit stereo.
Solution: Follow the procedure below to convert the .wav files to 44.1 kHZ, 16 bit stereo. Then
use Windows Media Player to copy the files to a rewritable CD-ROM.
1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, click Entertainment, and then click Sound Recorder.
2. On the File menu, click Open.
3. In the Open dialog box, specify the name of the audio file that you want to convert, and
