Soapy residue left on bottoms of glasses or where ever there is standimg water

Using a cloth to rub of doesn't work all the time, many say the way to get it off is with a scraper like what you use to clean your window. You should wet the window with soapy water, then gently start to lift the duct tape from one end.
Its very likely to have left a sticky residue though :(

Is it a side by side? Did you change the filter recently? If so, Could be air bubble in water tank.

The problem is most likely that there is still water residue at the bottom of your machine. If the machine is not fully drained it picks up some of the residue and sprays that onto the dishes during the final rinse, leaving an unhealthy and unsightly film on everything.
Remove the bottom strainers and make sure that there is nothing obstructing the outlet pipe and the pump. If possible back flush through the outlet pipe and try draining the machine again before using it again.

Dish washer not draining

It sounds as if it is not draining. Try to trace the drain line under the sink. Usually it goes into a disposall. The port where it connects to the disposall may be clogged. Another thought. If you had the disposall replaced recently they may not have taken the knock out plug out which would give the drain water no where to go.

I had the same problem and it was fixed by switching dishwasher soap. We always used the same liquid soap for years and when this problem came out of the blue (about 8 months ago) I switched to Cascade action pacs with Dawn. It did the trick! No more residue since then. We now are having a problem with the dishwasher not draining (our unit is 8 years old), but the grit issue has been handled!

You should never use large amounts of water on any electrical appliance. If the moisture is under the glass, it will need to be replaced.

Check to see if you have any switches on your dishwasher that could by pass a rinse cycle. Use a hotter temparture when washing, Check your water level,check your filters on your inlet hose top and bottom. When it gets to a rinse cycle you should hear it drain out and bring in fresh water. you could change to a liquid detergent.
