I just fixed this problem on my Nikon... It is very frustrating when this happens!
First the issue is on your lens itself. Make sure the ring closest to the body of your camera is set to 22, it should be in red while all the others are white. This will fix your problem!

Make sure the lens is set to the smallest f opening, the highest number.

I got the fEE symbol on my newly bought N60 camera body. What does it mean??

It means the lens aperture ring isn't locked. Turn it to its smallest setting (largest f/number) and lock it if the ring has a lock. You control the aperture from the camera body, just as you would with a lens without an aperture ring.

If you need a manual, you can download one from

Fee error, Nikon N60

Are you using a Nikon "d" lens? on my D70 Fee means that the lens apeture is not set to minimum. If you have an apeture ring, set it to minimum.

FE E error for the nikon N60

This is normal if you're using a non-CPU lens -- you'll have to shoot in Manual (M) mode.

If it is a CPU lens, try cleaning the contacts and reattaching. Give it a little wriggle to make sure the contacts are engaged.

F EE

FEE blinking is very popular symptom. Make sure your lens is set at F22. When the lens F/stop is set at other position, computer gets confused and says "hey, what you trying to do! set the lens at F/22!". This how Nikon designed it for N series. I don't like it but who am I? Now, if this is not, more likely you have shutter problem requiring diagnostic by a technician. James For futher assistance or free estimate at www.camerarepairjapan.com

Nikon N60 fEE Issue

First of all, you can download a manual from here.

Basically, with certain types of lenses you need to set the aperture ring on the actual lens to its minimum setting (f22 or f32). Once it is set here, the camera can then control the aperture. It's covered on page 16 of the manual.

Hope this helps,

Matt

It is more likely that the tab has separated from the plate it slides on. The spring is attached to the plate with the tab sticking out from it. I have repaired these in the past by boring a small hole in the backside of the tab and use a screw to re-attach it.

Help me PLEASE Nikon N60

All you need to do, to correct this, is set your lens to highest F-stop number ( 16 or 22 ) and the FEE signal will disappear. Also note that you should lock this setting in ( on the side of the lens after you turned it to F 16/22) .
