I have a lfa series 800 watt amp. Everything works fine, I just want to know what the knobs mean and how to adjust them for best sound quality. I'm running just a factory stereo in a 03 gmc sonoma. It has built in eq as well. I am pushing two 12 ,s. One a kenwood bass plus and the other is a comp 12. Please be as detailed as possible. Sorry if this is a dumb ? Thank you.

Yes it is a new amp. It came with a Manuel but I don't understand the lingo or words it used.

On a 13 band eq what is the best settings for the best sound quality

500, 800 Hz and 1.25 kHz : These three bands can be considered the most important and informative, since it is here that the human ear perceives the bulk of the sound. When setting up, it is recommended to use a recording with a voice, as this will help to quickly catch an unnatural sound.

How to adjust the sound using a 13-band equalizer?

Altec lansing imt620 no sound, everything else works fine (speakers are ok)

Pardon my question; but what do you mean everything works fine? Have you attempted to attach the speaker system to an other device, such as a Receiver, DVD player, TV, etc? First check and see if the System works on other electronics and if it is working, then you go back to your computer and start from there; and I assume "everything works fine" could be the computer. The Altec is one of the best systems out there and their quality superior. It is rare to get a new Altec in a defective state as they do a great job on quality control.

Can i use a 300 watt amp for 2, 800 watt woofers

yes, but you would not get the same performance as you would if you gave them the suggested power. I have found that it is always better to use a more powerful amp than your subs are rated for (as long as it is clean, high quality, low distortion power). I have had the best luck with name brand amps (kicker, rockford fosgate, phoenix gold,etc...). I hope this will be helpful to you.

I have a 300 watt alpine 4 channel amp powering 4 x 6.5" kenwood speakers. My speakers can take up to 170 watts each. I have to turn my gain up all the way on my amp in order to get a quality bass...

Your amp is overheating as your speakers all combined are 680 watts, double your max output on your amp. Ideally you need a 1000 watt amp to do the job and for perfect sound as you should never have your amp up to max as it is more likely to blow quicker. The 2000 watt amp your are speaking of will do the job perfect, but you need to keep the gain down around 50% as you could blow your speakers. But yeah all together you are right, the 2000 watt amp will stay cool as doesnt have to work nowhere near as hard as the one you have currently.

My nitro bmw-486 amp plays but want put out loud sound

I have the same exact amp. And my friend has the smaller 1600 watt amp, and this happened to his. Basically, just start from scratch. Unhook every single wire, and rewire it. If that doesn't work, look at the side of it, and there are a few knobs that you can adjust using a philips head screwdriver. Try adjusting the bass boost knob.

I have 2 kicker 07CVR124 12" dual voice coil with a 800 watt mono pioneer amp. How do I wire it correctly

I'm not sure what pinoeer amp you have. If I remember correctly some are 1 ohm stable. In this case you would be able to wire everything in parallel. Meaning, with the voice coil, wire the positive to positive, and the negative to negative. Then wire the subs together positive to positive, and negative to negative. This will give you the total impedence of 1 ohm. If it isn't 1 ohm stable the best you could do is 4 ohms. To do this you would need to wire the voice coils in series and the subs in parallel. Meaning, wire the negative to positive and the positive to negative. Then take the subs and connect the positive to positive and the negative to negative. I hope this isn't too confusing. If you need further assistance let me know. Good luck
