Can't find my printer!

I used to be able to print, but now it appears that the printer is no longer installed (nor is any other). It just disappeared. The printer is on. It is not even listed on the "install list" on my computer. (There is a long list of DeskJets and some HP printers, but no Okidata).

How did u connect the printer, (USB, Paralell, Network), if it is usb and is connected to a pc it must appear, if doesn't u may have a motherboard problem, if it is paralell or network, u must instal the printer as a paralel printer and if it is a network after u install it u must change the port to a IP port.

How do I reset the Replace Toner message on a Brother HL-6180DW?

  1. Ensure the printer is turned on and otherwise ready to print.
  2. Press the front cover release button to open the front cover of the printer.
  3. Remove the drum unit with the toner cartridge installed from the printer.
  4. Now re-install the drum unit and installed toner cartridge slowly but firmly.
  5. Press and hold the Go button until Drum Clear appears.
  6. Close the front cover of the printer.
The "Replace Drum" message should now have disappeared and the LED no longer lit allowing you to continue printing

Faces on people appear to be longated when printed.

It depends on the application that you're printing from. Make sure not to use the fit to page option. It would have been helpful if you indicated the application you're using.

I am getting an error of: 49.4Co2 on my HP color laserJet 5550hdn. Have tied turning it off; unplugging butno luck. the error message continues to appear

1. Press CANCEL JOB to clear the print job from the printer memory.
2. Turn the printer off and then back on.
3. Try printing a job from a different software application.
If the job prints, go back to the first application and try printing a different file. If the message appears only with a certain software application or print job, contact the software vendor for assistance.
4. If the message persists with different software applications and print jobs, disconnect all
cables to the printer that connect it to the network or PC.
5. Turn the printer off.
6. Remove all memory DIMMs or third-party DIMMs from the printer. (Do not remove the firmware DIMM in slot J1.)
7. Remove all EIO devices from the printer.
8. Turn the printer on.
9. If the error no longer exists, install each DIMM and EIO device one at a time, making sure to turn the printer off and back on as you install each device.
10. Replace a DIMM or EIO device if you determine that it causes the error.
11. Remember to reconnect all cables that connect the printer to the network or computer.
12. If the error persists, replace the firmware DIMM.
13. Replace the formatter and calibrate the printer.

My C7280 will no longer print black. Here is what

Same issue on my C7280 - just stripped it down and cleaned all the ink lines - forcing ink through the black line by manually actuating the pump and it appears to be working again but not sure for how long. Not something everyone would tackle as you need torx drivers and ability to take it apart which is tricky.

Can't get printer to print

I am hoping that you have you original install disk or that the windows has a driver installed alread as I believe that the Lexmark website no longer supports your printer. If you still have the install disk;
Disconnect the printer from the computer.  Remove (Delete) the printer(software)from the computer . Reinstall the printer and software , if not a part of windows already.

Paint Shop Pro 9 Printer Selection (no options available)

There is a workaround which will be suitable for those who use Print Layout in PSP instead of just Print.
With your image open in PSP, goto >File >Print Layout.
Now in the Print Layout screen, goto >File >Print Setup (or just click the Printer / Page Setup Icon).
The Print Setup window will now appear with just your default printer displayed. There should be a Print Setup button next to the Properties button, but it never appears in Vista. You can, however, still access it.
Just press 'Alt-P' and the small print setup dialog box appears, allowing you to choose a different printer!!! happy.gif
