or go to control panel > network sharing and set up wireless network connection
or

In XP
Open Network Connections
Right-click Wireless Network Connection, and then click Properties.
On the Wireless Networks tab, do one of the following: •
To enable automatic wireless network configuration, select the Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings check box. This check box is selected by default. For information about what happens when you enable automatic wireless network configuration, see Notes.
To disable automatic wireless network configuration, clear the Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings check box.
To connect to an existing wireless network, do one of the following:
Access point (infrastructure)
To connect to an existing access point (infrastructure) network, under Available networks, click the network name, and then click Configure.
In Wireless Network Properties, specify the wireless network key (Wired Equivalent Privacy) settings, or, if the network key is automatically provided for you (for example, the key is stored on the wireless network adapter given to you by your administrator), select the The key is provided for me automatically check box. If you are unsure about whether a network key is needed or which settings you need to enter, contact your network administrator or the wireless network adapter manufacturer.

Important
If a network does not broadcast its network name, it will not appear under Available networks. To connect to an access point (infrastructure) network that you know is available but that does not appear under Available networks, under Preferred networks, click Add. To configure a new wireless network connection, click Add, and then do the following: •
In Wireless Network Properties, specify the network name (Service Set Identifier) and, if needed, the wireless network key settings.
If the network connection that you are configuring is to a computer-to-computer (ad hoc) network, select the This is a computer-to-computer (ad hoc) network; wireless access points are not used check box.
To change the order in which connection attempts to preferred networks are made, under Preferred networks, click the wireless network that you want to move to a new position on the list, and then click Move up or Move down.
To change the wireless network connection settings for a network that is listed in Preferred networks, click the wireless network for which you want to change settings, click Properties, and then change the settings as needed.
To remove a wireless network from the list of preferred networks, under Preferred networks, click the wireless network that you want to remove, and then click Remove.
To update the list of available networks that are within range of your computer, click Refresh.
To automatically connect to available networks that do not appear in the Preferred networks list, click Advanced, and then select the Automatically connect to non-preferred networks check box.
To open Network Connections, click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.
When you enable automatic wireless network configuration, you can connect to an existing wireless network, change wireless network connection settings, configure a new wireless network connection, and specify preferred wireless networks. You will be notified when new wireless networks are available. After you select a wireless network, your wireless network adapter will be automatically configured to match the settings of that network, and a network connection attempt will be made.

To configure settings on the Wireless Networks tab, you must be logged on as an administrator, and you must use a wireless network adapter that supports the Wireless Zero Configuration service. If you are unsure whether your wireless network adapter supports the Wireless Zero Configuration service, contact your network administrator or the wireless network adapter manufacturer. For more information about automatic wireless network configuration, see Related Topics.
If you are using third-party wireless networking software, clear the Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings check box.
If you are unable to connect to an existing wireless network and the name of the network that you want to connect to appears under the Preferred networks list, click the preferred network name, and then click Properties. In Wireless Network Properties, review the settings to ensure that they are correct. If you are unsure whether the settings are correct, contact your network administrator or the wireless network adapter manufacturer.
If the Preferred networks list includes both access point (infrastructure) and computer-to-computer (ad hoc) networks, you cannot move a computer-to-computer network to a position in the list that is higher than the position of an access point network.
To provide enhanced security for 802.11 wireless networks and for wired Ethernet networks, IEEE 802.1x authentication is enabled by default. For more information about how to set up 802.1x authentication.

  3. Select Configure Network.

After you select either Configure Network or Edit Settings, you will be on the Basic Settings tab, which contains your IP and DNS settings. When you select the IP Settings block, you are prompted to select an Automatic or Manual configuration. If you select Automatic, the Xbox 360 console will try to automatically determine your IP settings from your network or from your modem or Internet service provider (ISP). This option is recommended for most users.

You may have to or prefer to manually configure the IP settings, especially when a static IP address is used. This is necessary only if your ISP has issued a static IP address, or if you have configured the router to issue static IPs (and DHCP is not used). To manually configure the settings, select Manual, and then enter the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway by using the keyboard on the screen. When the information is complete, select Done.

Don't know how to set up the browser...thanks

If you are rtying to connect to the internet using your phone

You should configure first the setting of the network, and it can only be done by requesting to your network provider to send to you a configuration setting, after you recieved it, you'll need to save that setting and it will automatically configure the set up.

call the network service hotline and request for a configuration setting

Macintoshes and the RP614 Router Gateway

You need a Macintosh computer running MacOS 8.6, 9.x, or 10.x. (Netgear products are not supported for versions of MacOS before 8.6.) You can use the RP614 with an eMac, iBook, iMac, PowerBook, PowerMac, or PowerPC as long as they are running one of these versions of MacOS. You also need a few Ethernet cables to make the connections between the router to your modem for internet connection and from the router to your computers or peripherals. Topic 2. How do I prevent my Network configuration from being lost when I restart my computer? When making configuration changes for MacOS it is best to use Configurations (MacOS 8.x or 9. x) or Network Location (MacOS 10. x) settings instead of just changing settings for each category (TCP/IP, AppleTalk, AirPort, etc.). If you just make changes to your settings, they may be lost when you restart your computer unless you have saved them in a Configuration or Network Location. To create a Configuration in MacOS 8.x or 9.x: 1. Open AppleTalk (or TCP/IP) from the Apple Menu in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. 2. From the pull-down File menu select the Configurations option. 3. Choose New Configuration. 4. Type in a name for your new configuration (Netgear Router). 5. Make your changes to the AppleTalk (or TCP/IP) settings. 6. When you close AppleTalk (or TCP/IP) choose Save Changes. Whenever you make Configuration changes for settings in MacOS 8.x or 9.x, open Configurations from the File menu or by pressing Command-K. Saving your changes in Configurations means that they will not be lost when you reboot your computer. To create a Network Location in MacOS 10.x: 1. Open the Apple Menu by clicking on the Apple icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. 2. Select System Preferences. The System Preferences window displays. 3. From the System Preferences window click Network under Internet & Network. The Network settings window displays. 4. Click the Lock icon (if necessary) in the lower left-hand corner of the window to unlock the Network window so you can make changes. (You may be asked to type in your User Name and Password.) 5. Click the pull-down menu next to Location at the top of the Network window. 6. Select the New Location option. 7. Type in a name for your new Location and click OK. 8. Make your changes to the TCP/IP, AppleTalk, and AirPort settings. 9. Click the Lock icon in the lower left-hand corner to prevent further changes. The Apply configuration changes? Window displays. 10. Click Apply to apply the configuration changes for the newly-created Location. 11. Close the Network window. Topic 3. How do I connect a Macintosh to the RP614 Router Gateway? MacOS 8.6, 9.x, and 10.x 1. Set up your system for installation. 2. First make sure your ISP connection is working. Try testing your computer with the ISP directly to make sure you can successfully make a connection to the internet. 3. Connect your DSL or cable modem to the Netgear Router. 4. Log on as Administrator (if required for your system to make configuration changes). 5. Quit all other applications. It's best when configuring MacOS 8.6 and 9.x to use the Configurations settings for AppleTalk and TCP/IP because they should then retain their settings when you reboot. (Use Network Locations to save your settings changes in Mac OS 10.x.) If you just change the settings but don't use a Configuration or Network Location to save your settings changes, you may lose those changes when you restart your computer.
