Resetting the Router
Reset button - Red
The "Reset" button is used in rare cases when the Router
may function improperly. Resetting the Router will restore the
Router's normal operation while maintaining the programmed
settings. You can also restore the factory default settings by
using the "Reset" button. Use the restore option in instances
where you may have forgotten your custom password.

Resetting the Router
Push and release the "Reset" button. The lights on the Router will
momentarily flash. The "Router" light will begin to blink. When
the "Router" light becomes solid again, the reset is complete.
Restoring Your Router to factory Defaults
Press and hold the "Reset" button for at least 10 seconds,
and then release it. The lights on the Router will momentarily
flash. The "Router" light will begin to blink. When the "Router"

Wont reset and has erratic blinking lights. Tried power reset, reset button, etc.

Does the power light blinks when you press the reset button?
If power light is blinking continuously then I think your router is not working and you need a new one.

When I try to connect to wifi with my iPhone my wireless light on the router blinks red and wifi doesn't connect how can I fix this?

Your router may not have been regidstered with a password and you have to go on line, find the brand and follow the instructions to create your own password.
I had to do that for my Belkin and I am still trying to connect my HTC smart phone and it continues to say I am locked out of the network and it is my own network.
I have been unsuccessful in trying to find my log in page to my router. Good Luck perhaps they will be able to better assist you.

My hardrive was replaced and I cannot find the startup CD or network key.

Depress the reset button, to default settings.

Press and hold the "reset" button for at least 10 seconds, then release
it. The lights on the Router will momentarily flash. The "router" light will
begin to blink. When the "router" light becomes solid again, the restore
is complete.

Login into the router using a web browser from your pc and create a new network key.

Using your Internet browser, you can access the Router's Web-Based Advanced User Interface. In your browser, type "192.168.2.1" (you do not need to type in anything else such as "http://" or "www"). Then press the "Enter" key. Try 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 and repeat procedure if address is incorrect.

Dont remember password to dlink wbr-1310 router and want to add another computer to network. Need to get password, can you help.

Lost Password
Please read http://support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?prod_id=1056 for complete FAQ.

If you forgot your password and/or want to reset the router back to the default settings:

Step 1 Power the unit off by unplugging its power adapter.

Step 2 Insert a paper clip in to the reset pinhole. Press and hold the reset button with light pressure.

Step 3 Power the device back on by plugging it in. Continue to hold the reset button.

Step 4 Watch the lights on the front of the gateway. The M1 & M2 should come on solid. When the M1 & M2 begin to blink slowly, release the reset button.

The unit will reboot itself and should be at factory defaults. If the M1 light is not blinking about once per second, recycle the power on the gateway.

If the M1 & M2 continue to blink rapidly, you held the reset button for too long. Power the device off and repeat the reset procedure.

The default username for our routers is admin. The password is blank. If your router asks only for a password, use admin (lower-case).

I have a personal laptop and a laptop for my job. My personal laptop is the one which we have the wireless router setup through. A few weeks ago, we had to "reset" the wireless router. I am not sure...

Hi shannonace1,

Boy o Boy, what a mess!! The easiest way to solve your problem is to take the work laptop and open up network connections and create a new connection. Follow through with the questions, and name it work computer to connect at home, or something like that, so you can differentiate the new connection. You probably log into a different domain at work, and starting to change all that will mess up your connection at work. So, a new connection is probably the easiest way out.

Good Luck,

Mark
