I'm following the instructions for descaling my keurig B70 coffee maker. I poured the vinegar into the water part and am trying to make the large cup fill with the vinegar as suggested. However very few drips come out and the side which is holding the vinegar water is getting very hot. I kept on repeating the direction and now the water doesn't seem to be going from the reservoir into the pot so I could draw the drips out. Please help. Sign on display says "descale", Thanks

SOURCE: will not draw water from the reservoir

Sounds like it is too scaled up to work now. Use and care guide recomend you do it every 3 months and if you dont it builds up to the point that it gets completely clogged and will not pull in water.

My Keurig B40 has three different size cup sizes available, but it dispenses the same amount of water for the medium size cup and the large cup of coffee. It's barely been used so It doesn&am

I realize you think it does not need descaling to to it 'not being used much.'
However you may have hard water and I would think descaling is definitely worth a try. There might be scale built up on the water level probes in you machine.

Descaling Details are listed below:

Brewer Model: Elite B40 ' Classic B44
Special Edition B60 ' Platinum B70

To begin, you will need the following:
• 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar
• Large ceramic mug (do not use a paper cup)
• Access to an empty sink

PREPARE
Step 1:
Empty the water in the Water Reservoir.

Step 2:
Disable "Auto Off features."

FILL AND CLEAN
Step 1:
Pour approximately 48 ounces of the vinegar into the Water Reservoir.

Step 2:
Place a large mug on the Drip Tray Plate and run a brew cycle.

(DO NOT USE A K-CUP)

Just press the BREW Button. Pour the contents of the large mug into the sink.

Step 3:
Repeat the brew process without a K-Cup until "ADD WATER"
is indicated.

Step 4:
Now let the Brewer stand for at least 4 hours while still on.

Step 5:
Discard any residual vinegar and rinse the Water Reservoir thoroughly.

RINSE
Step 1:
Ensure the Water Reservoir is filled with fresh water.

Step 2:
Place a large mug on the Drip Tray Plate and water brew cycle. Pour the contents of the large mug into the sink.

Step 3:
Repeat brew process until "ADD WATER is indicated.

Step 4:
You may need to perform additional water brew cycles if you notice any residual taste.

Can i use nuvera coffee cleaner keurig coffee maker

We use a 75% vinegar and 25 % water. Then we rinse it twice with plain water. Also remove the little K/cup holder and clean it good and then replace in the machine. Works for us!

I have B60... I have descaled it twice wit vinegar... water is coming out although not as fast as it should. Descaling light still on... what should I do?

Vinegar is really not good for cleaning coffee machines.

You should rather use acetic acid.

1) put 4 cups of water into the coffee makers tank.

2) pour 4 cups of acetic acid also in the coffee makers tank.

WARNING !!! ALWAYS pour ACID into WATER and NOT the opposite !!!

If you pour water into acid, it can explode and cause severe damages !!!

3) Let it run through the coffee maker.

4) pour hereafter water in the tank and let it run through 2 times.

If this does not help to decalc your coffee maker, it is time for a new coffee machine.

Good luck

The coffemaker won't brew and showed a descale message. What does that mean?

Scale---or mineral deposits---form from the water you run through your Keurig coffee machine. If not cleaned regularly, the buildup can clog the lines in your machine and ruin the heating element. The manufacturer recommends you descale Keurig coffee makers once every six months for normal water conditions and once every three months if you live in an area with hard water
1.Unplug the coffee machine and remove the cup.
2.Turn the coffee machine upside down over the sink in order to fully drain it of water. Be careful of the plug and avoid getting it wet.
3.Pour undiluted white vinegar into the reservoir up to the top edge of the viewing window.
4.Place a ceramic cup under the machine, plug it in and press "Brew" for a large cup. Pour the cups of vinegar into the sink and repeat the process until the reservoir is empty.
5.Remove the final cup of vinegar and empty it. Fill the coffee maker with clean water and allow it to sit for four hours, remaining on.
6.Unplug the machine and dump the water into the sink.
7.Fill up the reservoir with fresh, clean water and plug it in. Place the ceramic cup back on the drip tray and run multiple brews in order to rinse the machine of any remaining vinegar residue
