As a note if you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7 you actually have to type "ipconfig /all" to see the
"Physical Address" which will list the MAC address.

I have a Dell Latitude D420 Laptop It working Well But it has a broadcom netxtreem Network adapter.I cant change its Mac address. How can i Change its Mac Address (Network Address)???

The MAC address is unique to each LAN or wireless card and cannot be changed.
I presume you mean the IP address, this IP address can be fixed by you or can be automatically allocated by the router or the broadband modem to the LAN or wireless card in the computer.

A devise that will enable my notebook connect to wireless

Hi, You can add the networks through your system prefrences and set the wireless network to automatically connect to your mac book however the recomendation would be to always keep your settings to ask you before connectting to a wireless network, this will keep your notebook secure.

I Pod shows good wireless connection but will not show web pages It is on a BT Home Hub That allows full service on laptop and WII

Dear michael_m75, I had the same problem with my iPod. It's because (I guess) your modem/router has MAC adress filtering. You need to get your ipod full acces through you MAC filtering. To know your iPod's MAC adress, go to: Settings > General > Info > (scroll down) Wi-Fi Address. If you give me some more info 'bout your router/modem, I'll search some more info.
Kind regards, FriskYR

My new mac mini wants a password to connect to my wireless network (Motorola SBG900)

Hi,

The SSID (network name) and password should be on the wireless router itself, usually underneath the unit.

If its not there, the password will be with documentation you got with the wireless router.

Regards.

The Rca DCW615R

You didn't say who your cable internet provider is, and many (or most, including Comcast) such providers require that the cable modem's MAC address be registered with their network. It's a security feature to prevent unauthorized (read: unpaid) users to access their network. The MAC address is usually found on a sticker at the bottom or rear of your modem. Write it down, then call your cable company's tech support the register it. It should work just fine after that.
