I just purchased 2 dvds from Germany and my dvd player will not read them. My dvd player is a USA regional, but I want to set it as a multi-regional since I like buying and watching dvds from Europe and Asia. I have tried to find the regional hack code but cannot find one anywhere! It is a Symphonic WF104 dvd player.

Unfortunately not all dvd players can be unlocked like that. You can try to rip the dvd to your computer and then burn it region free. Just make sure not to violate any copyright laws as that is why the region protection is there in the first place.

    I do not have a DVR or DVR+RW.
    Is there any way to find out if my specific brand of dvd player has an unlock code at all?
    I know that motion picture studios do use codes to unlock region coding for most dvd players.
    I am hoping to set it to a regional code 0, but if my specific brand does not have an unlocking code then I guess I have to save money to buy a region-free player lol.

Trying to play dvd but says wrong region soneynhv-dx350ab?
Hi, if its saying wrong region. then either your player or disk is incompatable. region 1 ntsc ( USA ) Region 2 ( UK ) et,c. check your players region coding is compatable for your country, and that you are also playing a dvd with the same region coding as the player. alternatively is to try and find a region free or multi-region solution. Wrong Regional Disc.
DVDs are ecoded with region codes to indicate what area of the world they are made for. These codes may be 1,2,3, etc depending on which region they are made for.
DVD player read these codes and if the disc region code does not match the region the device is made for, the player will not play the disc.
Region 1 is for USA so most DVDp players made for use in USA require region 1 discs.
Some DVD players called multi region DVD players can be set to play different region DVDs but they are typically more expr=ensive then one region players and the code must be changed each time a different region disc is played.

Multi region phillips dvd player
Hi,
Is this a Multi-region Player ?
Some Players are region Set to play Only the region they, are intended For. i.e Region 1 = NTSC( USA ) Region 2 = (PAL ) UK. Region 6 = ( ASIA ) And so on.

it depends on whether the drive is multi-region ?
Some drives are region Set, i.e Region 1 ( NTSC-USA )
Region 2 ( UK PAL )
Most Players Are Region Set, To the country they are purchased in, you can sometimes set the player to become, multi-region, via various buttons on the remote or by the front panel.
I offer a service to unlock 99% of DVD Players, to play all or many regions.

Play all region dvds
Multi-Region Hack:

Press the Open button on your Onkyo DVD-player to Open the drive tray.
Using the remote press 9, 9, 9 and 9 on your remote control.
Press the 1 button on your remote control for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 9 for multi-region.
Press OK and the tray will close.
Reset the unit by powering Off and then back On again.

Dvd player
Well - in Germany/Europe, they use Region Code 2/PAL and in N. Amercia we use Region 1/NTSC coding. Most DVD players only play one or the other format.

1. Make sure the disc tray is open and remove any discs from the player.
2. Key in ‘7 7 7 7’ using the remote control.
3. Select region 0 for a region-free setting.
