When I turn the machine on it says I need service error 105

105. (01101001) Comms Error Time Out
These faults are reported when the Display Module detects an error in the communications
between the Display Module and the Motor Control Module.
Primary Source: Display Module.
Action: Replace Display Module.
Secondary Source: Motor Control Module.
Action: Replace Motor Control Module.
Tertiary Source: Rotor Position Sensor
Action: Replace Rotor position Sensor. If this corrects the fault refit the
original Display Module and/or Motor Control Module.

Hi, the faults 105 is reported when the Display Module detects an error in the communications between the Display Module and the Motor Control Module.

The primary source of the problem is the Pump and you have to measure resistance of pump. If resistance is less than 33 ohms, replace pump.

try this solution: enter service mode by pressing *(additional function) then2 and 8 together and then again * select copier on screen>function>clear>error>ok. turn off the machine and re-start.

Your waste toner bottle is full. On the right hand side of the machine, at the very back and to the bottom you will se a panel about 12 -14 inches high and 5 inches wide. This is held in by 1 or 2 screws - remove this cover and you will se the waste toner bottle - empty it carefully. Also, you may need to go into service mode to reset the waste toner count - but this counter only alerts the user to get the botle changed. To enter service mode press the 'head' key the 2 and 8 together, then the head key again quickly. Then select 'counter' from the top right tab - then select MISC i think - look for WASTE TNR and select it and press the 'C' button from the keypad. This will reset the count and you will see on the right what the count is currently set to. It may be in one of the other 2 options : DRBL 1 or DRBL 2. Once you've done this turn the machine of then on again.

you have to clear this error by doing the following press additional function(*) and 2,8 together) then press additional functions (*)again (you have to do this quickly to get into service mode then you press copier
then you press function
then you press clear
then you press ERR
then you press ok
then turn off the machine and then back on
this is a low toner level detection code

We can check the memory allocation.

Turn key to program mode.
5 SUBTOTAL SUBTOTAL (must press subtotal twice).

This will print memory allocation.
Look down the printout and tell me what figures are listed under file numbers 16 and 40.

go into service mode -function-clear-error- take machine off -un plug from wall -reconnect- turn machine

Were the heaters at fault. It is more like a thermister problem. Replace the thermisters, both. And I would also change the thermostat as well. When you are sure thatyou have removed the faulty unit reset by doing the following.. service mode/copier/function/clear/error followed byswitching the machine off and turn on again.
