SOURCE: sony tv red flashes

LED flashes of 8 times are indicative of a "High Voltage Error" which means something along the lines of "T8005 is faulty. (D board)" according to the service manual. Most likely it will need a professional to look at it. A link to the service manual is here: http://www.somelifeblog.com/2007/06/sony-projection-tv-red-line-repair.html

SOURCE: red light flashes four times

4 red light flashes normally means there is a problem with the fan. Time to make a service call.

SOURCE: Green flashes then tv turns off

OMG! My TV has been sitting in a closet for the last three years because I couldn't afford to have it fixed.  I have googled now and then trying to find a cure for its green affliction but never found the right advice until tonight. I can't thank J19666566666 enough!!  I just followed the instructions and presto!  Working TV again! And just in time for the Oscars (which is like the Super Bowl for me).
The editor in me tweaked the instructions a little...
Its is real easy to fix. There are 2 screws holding the front speaker cover on near the bottom corners (there are plastic plugs covering the screws that need to come out first). Unscrew and remove the speaker cover (pull it out from the bottom a little then sort of down and out to get it loose but be careful because there are wires attached). Next remove the 4 screws holding the particle board panel in place. There will be a cluster of 6 adjustment nobs with a drop of white paint on each one (2 rows of 3 - do not touch the top row). The green is controlled by the bottom middle screw, Using a screwdriver turn it counter clockwise (to the left) ever so slightly (1-3mm) and there you have your TV back. Use the bottom right screw to adjust the red and bottom left screw for blue.
Thanks again so much!

SOURCE: controller not working

I had the same problem, so I called customer service and had me do this:

1) with the USB cable plugged into the controller, power down the ps3 and turn the on/off switch in the back to "off".
2) hold your thumb down on the front button (where you normally can turn it on) while turning the switch on the back to "on" again. keep your thumb or finger on the front switch.
3) You will hear the normal "beep" that you usually hear when the PS3 boots up, but after a few seconds later, you will hear a secondary beep. Remove your thumb or finger after this second beep and the PS3 will reset itself after a few seconds. I have a projector connected to it, so I had to set the display screen back to HDMI afterwards, but when I disconnected the USB cable the controller worked wirelessly again. The customer service rep said that this allowed the controller to pair with the PS3 again. Note: You probably do not have to have the controller plugged into the USB cable at all while doing this. I just happened to have it plugged in. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: My SXRD 60

Perhaps it needs the bulb, but there is also a good possibility that the lamp fan is getting clogged and shutting down the set. This is NOT the fan you see in the back, instead, it is above the lamp, and is a small blower-type fan, that tends to clog with dust. You CAN check this, when you open the lamp door, you can see the blower wheel, and if it is all dusty, it needs to be cleaned out--but do NOT just blow it out, or you might clog the engine!! It needs to be removed, and cleaned out of the set.

But first...if the blower is not too dirty...try another lamp.

Can a symphonic TV model WF203 be put in video mode without a remote

Only if you have a source button on the tv itself. On many of the newer sets you have to have the remote to access your other inputs. Without the remote, nada. And forget universal remotes - they only provide for the most basic functions and video source is not one of them. And you get hosed on original remotes.

I have a SONY KF-WE50 rear projection tv, a few weeks ago it started to turn the pic and sound off while the green light was flashing around 30 times. After the light finished flashing both the picture and...

the green is the reboot process and is normal.
the red light is an error code indicator.
count the blinks of the red light...it cant be 30 times (I think)
it will blink a sequence, pause, then do it again for a total of three times.
count carefully, it gives you three chances to catch the number it is blinking.

My wii remote wont work !!!!!!! I turned on my wii and it said to push A on your wii remote and I did and the four little light things just blink and shut off !!! What do I do ?

1. Take the battery cover off from the back of the wiimote. Look for a little red button. 2. On the front of the nintendo wii console open the little door that covers the SD slots. Look for another red button.3. Press both red buttons, it does not have to be at the exact same time, but within about 2-3 seconds.

Wii is comming on but when it says press a button nothing happens new controls aren't working or sensor bar isn't picking it up what to do

You probably need to synchronize your Wii-Motes to your system. When you press buttons on your controllers do the four LED lights flash at the bottom? This is a clear indication. Your Wii needs to be turned on. You need to open the little door on the front of your Wii where the SD card slot is. Under the slot there is a little red SYNC button. Then open the battery compartment on the backs of your remotes. There is another little red SYNC button here. Press the button on the remotes and then while they're flashing on the Wii and it should sync. If it doesn't work the first time try again.
