Go to Settings or Control Panel and select Printers - double click the icon. Here you will find the Print Queue. Delete all jobs in the Print Queue (the first one is probably the problem child and is stopping any others from progressing).

This will free up the Print Queue which should now be ready to accept new Print jobs.

Note: The Spooler is an area where Print Jobs are stored ready for Printing and as long as the previous print has finished then the next job in the Spooler will progress to be printed onto paper.

Good luck.

What to do if after canceling the printing in queue document its status is still showing deleting ?

Give it a few minutes. Sometimes it takes awhile to delete the document.

If that fails, turn off the printer, wait a minute, then turn it back on. The document should be deleted.

Why does my 7520 printer print old documents.

Your computer has "queued" various pages to be printed.
When it detects that it cannot completely complete the output, it restarts the sending of the information to the printer.

From the Windows "Control Panel", select "Printers".
Select your printer. Click to "show what is printing".
From there, you can select an item, and choose to "cancel" it.

My lex mark printer will not stop printng same job

It could be that the same print job is queued on your computer's Print Spooler. Please follow the steps below to resolve this issue:

1. On your computer, browse to Start -> Run and type in NET STOP SPOOLER (this will stop the print spooler service)

2. Browse to your windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS\ folder. You should see files there ending in .SPL and .SHD created around the time you tried to print - delete these files.

3. Browse to Start -> Run... and type in NET START SPOOLER (this will restart the print spooler service)

4. Double click the printer icon in the lower-right corner of your taskbar to examine your print job queue and browse to View -> Refresh.

Try to print again.

If the problem continues, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for further troubleshooting.

I am trying to delete a document from my hp 6180, ...

From the PC Magazine blog:

WINDOWS
Clear a Print Job Without Rebooting
If you've ever had a print job hang, you're probably familiar with the Windows Print Spooler window. You get to this window simply by selecting the relevant printer from the Control Panel's Printers and Faxes applet (simply Printers in Vista). In the somewhat unusual event of a printer queue jam, you can go to the Print Spooler and simply delete the job. Sometimes, though, the system won't let you cut off print jobs that way: It marks the job "Deleting…" but never quite gets there, and you end up rebooting. Here's a better way to do it.
Open a command prompt (go to Start | Run, then type cmd) and enter the following:
net stop spooler
del c:\windows\system32\spool\printers\*.shd
del c:\windows\system32\spool\printers\*.spl
net start spooler
In Vista you'll need to open an elevated command prompt by right-clicking on cmd.exe and selecting Run as Administrator. For those of you who remember batch files, use Notepad to save the four commands above as a batch file. I've named mine Killqueue.bat.—Craig Ellison
